Time to break out the inflation calculator!

(looks like one can multiply each of those items by 4.64 to get a rough 2020 equivalent)

That $300 transmission is $1,392 in today’s dollars... and can you believe they had the nerve to charge for it!

Lolol

Wish they still offered the auxiliary fuel tank like in 1976. Like that it was not a cigarette lighter but rather a cigar lighter-nice! Oh and what's with the auxiliary front passenger seat? Really gotta pay extra for that?

...reduced sound exhaust system... pfft! Surprising how significant of an adder power steering was - at least compare to the auto trans option.

Gotta imagine that a few of these 'options' are now standard and are reflected in the modern base price.

Kinda funny that you can have one of the two side mirrors chrome played if you like. Was that something you'd actually opt for, for some reason?

It would have been better if the terms “mandatory option” were used now instead of “includes”. Maybe fewer people upset.

The old Bronco at Sanderson Ford (which was also on display at the International 4x4 Expo in Phoenix) had a small, 3rd seat between the two standard front seats. I wish I had taken a picture, but I am guessing that is what they mean by "auxiliary front seat."

I had a '66 Mustang with the less common front bench seat. Was usefully when piling a bunch of friends in the car.
