What would you dealer say about a warranty claim on this?
I would guess nothing if it stayed the way it is. If those areas continue to open up and really start to separate, then I think I could justify an approved warranty claim. Right now it is more or less me asking the dealer to document it so that if the issues get worse, there is a paper trail. The top really is a non issue at the moment. The USB ports that don't work under the AC knobs is my main gripe at the moment LOL. And that all said, I would gladly keep these little issues if that meant I didn't have to deal with the engine kabooming.

I got my Bronco back today. Engine is Julian 21273 MB3E 6006AA. Took 31 hours total and everything seems to be ok. Still the only one that had a failure at my dealer. Not sure what I can ask from Ford as restitution since I purchased the maintenance plan and the extended warranty when I bought it.

UPDATE 2/7/2022
Ford has offered me Ford Premium Care plan as a good will gesture. I can cancel my extended warranty that I purchased and have it mostly refunded so I’m a happy camper.

Glad to see you got yours back.

As for the restitution, it would be awesome to have someone that has gone through the interaction with the Ford rep create a thread that gives insight on what you can get and how to get it.

In your case, I would ask for reimbursement for the extended warranty. I don't think that is asking too much and if Ford is willing to cut people checks for car rentals or car payment reimbursements, they should have no issue cutting a check for the cost of the extended warranty.

Congrats on getting it back, ask for ford pass points. You can use those on mnx and accessories. Your replacement engine gives me hope for my 3700 mile 2.7. It is a 21266 build.

More likley Ford will uninvite/ban them from new model reveals and test drives.
you might be correct, but a more convoluted take is the Ford actually T'd up the article for MT. It was actually pretty scary information presented. Why would Ford do that?

Could be that they've got follow-up info ready to go...just speculating, but we might just see it next week.

Looks like the issue has finally hit mainstream media…is this going to get me banned again, guess we’ll find out 🤷‍♂️

Great link, thank you, good on Motor Trend, two most important quotes.

We attempted to contact Ford for a quote and to see if this could spread further than just a warranty repair on failures. They have not responded at the time of this writing.
be sure to report it to the NHTSA's website and submit it through their "Report A Safety Problem" link on the top of their website.
