Sorry to hear about the blown engine. And ignore the a-holes here. Most are good folks but yes there are some that should just take their shit to Twitter already but instead keep showing up on this thread to be a dick.
Exactly. The same people will probably initiate scorched earth if it happened to them. But someone else? There’s a warranty! So what if it’ll take weeks/months to get your new engine! It’s under warranty!!!

I'm over it and over Ford. I only joined to add to the list for visibility. I did enjoy the Bronco, but I'm accustomed to vehicles that are ultra reliable. Sadly, that does not describe my experience with Ford.

You have a warranty, why would they buy it back?
They are according to reports offering a buy back. Most don’t take it though. Would you?

This is a great community. I'm so glad I joined so I could get roasted for complaining about my $55000 paperweight.
You have all right to complain and you posting your story here will help educate future/potential bronco owners. Maybe some will opt for the 2.3 or others will buy a 4Runner if reliability is most important to them. Thank you and please submit an NHTSA complaint to help everyone.

I love the performance of the 2.7 and if it has to be replaced, I will deal with it! there is no way I would consider a 4-cylinder engine in a 5000 lb. vehicle, that is just me and I am not bashing anyone that has a 2.3 or changes their order for one, I am old school and if they put a Godzilla 7.3 in the Bronco I would be all over it (HAHA), I am not worried about gas mileage and just like power and the 2.7 is everything and some more than I expected to be, like all new models it just has some kinks to work out and I feel bad it is happening to anyone and understand the hardships it may cause but in all reality it is the 2021 Bronco 1st year of the 6 Gen and like any vehicle the first year of any new model has its problems and like the wait we had to get one it will all be behind us soon!

But is it the first year of the eco boost V6? Nope. I understand electrical and tech bugs and issues. But from what people have said, the V6 has been reliable. No reason a motor that’s been around for awhile should have issues or be considered “new gen”. However, parts issues happen and Ford should own up to it to those in the affected range.

1st year of the higher HP and TQ ratings in the Bronco Engine so I expect something has changed and yes, I agree they should at least let us know what is going on!

Well that is dishonest. Caveat emptor eh?
Don't believe for a second a dealer that has a Bronco sitting on their lot is going to tell you the engine has been replaced or not. It's not dishonest to sell something that's in perfect working order, even if parts have been replaced to make it in perfect working order.

Would it be dishonest if the dealer didn't replace the exhaust system at the same time as the engine?
It is very common for blow engines to cause problems down the line with the metal fragments, fluids etc. going everywhere.

Different point, but I agree. If mine blows I expect new intake and cats. But, to some extent, that's up to Ford and not the dealer as it's warranty.

I would think dealers would be jumping at the chance to do a buy back. Fix it and set it back out for sale with ADM.

No, it's simply a vehicle, if something breaks, they will fix it, although they should also offer a free rental for powertrain failures. If it happens a second time then I would pursue a buyback.

Because some people are entitled……. Like this person. It’s all about them, they live in a perfect state of bliss where nothing bad ever happens. Right now they are probably on the phone with their therapist screaming “why” “why do I have to deal with this heartache”.
This is dumb. It would be one thing if the engine could be repaired with haste, but it would take several months anyway based on reports in this thread. That alone (time out of service for a warrantied issue) merits a buyback or lemon case.

To imply it’s as trivial as having some small part replaced within a 48h timeframe or even a week is ridiculous.

It's a $30,000 paperweight with $25,000 worth of options, but your point is valid.
