I thought I was in the clear with almost 7k miles, nope.
For your sake I sure hope so…but what is the hopeful outlook based on? What do you hope they rubbed on your valves that they didn’t rub on the motor next to yours? Are you confident enough to keep it past warranty? If I was in those shoes, I would have another one on order already and trade ASAP. JMHO. May luck be with you! 🍀
Not making predictions. I have to agree it would not be prudent to bet heavily on an engine in the trouble batch lasting forever.

All I said was “hopefully”, and present a relevant engine with relatively higher mileage than all the failures, as a variable.

I can see why threads here continue to grow well past their utility. Too much emotion. 🤙

If it fails, I’ll figure it out. Meanwhile, I love it.

How many are out there that we never hear about? Sounds like this one gets a replacement motor quick!
The fail rate it so high that parts now just keeps a few 2.7s in stock :).

I’m not emotional about it at all, lol. I’m just curious about the thought process for those at ground zero that exude semi indifference. It’s an incredibly unfortunate position to be in. I empathize.

No, but good try. Don’t be so bitter 🤙

I read the first page, and understand I share an engine build date with another owner whose engine failed. But I have 9000 miles on mine, so hopefully I am somehow escaping that fate.
Not bitter, was intended to be a good-natured jab (based on your post that didn't contain any of the other info).

Coincidentally, we are in the same boat. I have a 21207 which is the same as two blown motors, and I have 10,300 miles on mine. I'm cautiously optimistic but know there are no guarantees.

3833 miles on mine so far, no problems, but sitting at 21180 right in between 3 failed ones isn't all that comforting. It sure would be nice to hear something, anything from Ford by now. 44 blown and reported just on this forum - a small fraction of owners - is a bit much.

I really never belonged to a forum before this one and since I have joined it, I have been waiting, wondering, hoping, for My Bronco to arrive, getting and sharing ideas to improve it which was all fun and enjoyable and now EVERY DAY since my Bronco arrived I look at this forum to see how many failed engines and wonder when it might/could happen to me, I really try to stop looking at it but it is really hard to not wonder who is next and what Julian date they have, I still love My Bronco and don't plan on selling it but sometimes I think maybe we all would feel better if we didn't know about this Freakin Delema and on top of all that this thread has turned into a bunch of members just like me; waiting, watching, wondering and hoping.

I got my Bronco back today. Engine is Julian 21273 MB3E 6006AA. Took 31 hours total and everything seems to be ok. Still the only one that had a failure at my dealer. Not sure what I can ask from Ford as restitution since I purchased the maintenance plan and the extended warranty when I bought it.

UPDATE 2/7/2022
Ford has offered me Ford Premium Care plan as a good will gesture. I can cancel my extended warranty that I purchased and have it mostly refunded so I’m a happy camper.
Your engine gives me hope too! I’m a 21273. Time will tell 🤞🏼

Update:
- engine build-date was May 11 - Julian 21131

looks like these two mid-May blown engines won't be written-off so easily - ( 21131 & 21133 )

So May RUD"s are no longer outliers?

I’m at 21182 and have 6,041 miles so far so fingers crossed 😬

I am curious if anyone knows how many owners are 6g members. What is the percentage of Bronco owners overall represented here. Going from memory 35,000 were built in 2021.

Bronco6g owners participation in @VictoryLights tracker with their JD and milage will help us get a small sense of the failure rate.
We don’t know how many joined as a result of theirs blowing up, but join date may help identify them.

I don’t think there is a way to know for sure. There is this thread which tracks orders. About 80% of the 4300 orders were for 2021s.

Well that’s a start.
About 1% of the number of orders failed. Not anywhere near a direct correlation because some of the confirmed ebd’s are from people who joined after their engines failed. So the failure rate is likely below 1%. But we can scale up to tue overall failure rate given 35,000 as the total built. 44/4309*35,000=357.
Does that sound reasonable? It is wrong of course because we don’t onow the 2.3 to 2.7 mix. 50/50 2.3 to 2.7 gives us and estimated 178 blown to date. But, if we knew how many 2.7 engines were built before the plant pause, (assumed) we would have a better idea of what the current failure rate may be. That number is certainly going to go up every week.

A very rough estimate based on the above may be a total of 4 engines blown for every 1 reported here.

of course this is wrong but I think a 4/1 ratio puts the problem in perspective.

If we get more data perhaps we will be able to predict how many will blow every month. And perhaps we can confirm it is an early failure only.

Our estimates might get better over time, but they might not either. Only Ford knows the real story and they aint talkin. I mean what are they afraid of? If all of the May-August 2.7's eventually blow it will cost them a fortune to replace, compared to doing valve jobs now. The stock is already in the toilet along with their rep.
Kind of sickening actually given that it is a safety issue.
I own 3 Fords and have only driven Fords in 30 years (ok, one POS Jimmy).
I would never buy another Ford.
