Similar. I’m back and forth on squatching my OB. I won’t be doing anything too extreme here in New England and the decreased MPG isn’t anything I want. Squatch sure looks good though.
When in the desert sand I need 4 full lockers . It's worth every penny even on resale .

@Chase Gentry I'm interested to hear about comfort and function as a long road tripper. DId anything drive you nuts? Any recommendations to make long road trips more enjoyable?

That's livin the dream: buy a ultra capable vehicle and take it all over the country. I hope to make some trips half as cool as what you've done.

I have a question: knowing you were doing a bunch of traveling in the Bronco, what made you choose the Outer Banks?
I’m one of the Ford Team Bronco Ambassadors. Personally I’m a heavy off-roader and cross country travel/adventure guy. Ford has temporarily provided me this unit to use for my adventures. Basically my objective is to show people you DO NOT need to buy a Sasquatch or Badlands for most adventures. While those thing obviously grant you more capabilities the OBX with a decent tire will get you to basically anything for most adventures. All you need is gas and pick safe lines. I’ll be using a Wildtrack next and will take things to another level. Hope that answered your question 🤘🏻

Thanks for your post. Given your relationship with Ford have you heard anything from the team about the 2.7L engines reliability concerns? Im curious to learn if Ford is activity following this topic.
I have heard of the issue. I have not spoke to anyone about it yet. Hope to investigate this further soon though.

When does the video come out?
I’m headed to King of the hammers with it in a couple days (2400 miles) towing a 3000lb trailer. My goal is to film and edit the review and full towing impressions videos once I get there.

This stock Outerbanks that I’ve been using just rolled over 20,000 miles on my way home to Texas from Colorado. I want to do a full 20k review but also answer any questions that you guys have? So fire away I’ll answer them in a video and plug who asked them. For reference this stock OBX has been to Whistler BC, California, Utah, South Padre Island Texas, and ran some of the most iconic things in the nation like Top of the world, Hells Revenge, Black Bear Pass, and more. It’s also towed a 3000 lb trailer for about 2000 miles and will be towing it again 2400 to King of the Hammers in Johnson Valley California.

Cool! I’m concerned with pulling a similar travel trailer up to the mountains. Passing semis while avoiding the sports car blazin’ past me up interstate

I guess my question is also the too Sas or not to Sas. I have a Big Bend non-sas that is my daily driver with 9k miles, and love it and it drove awesome on our snow days. It has been fun on road trips and i am hoping to take it to a few forest roads and some national parks. I ordered so I could get it sooner... now my husband wants one and all he wants is a 2.3 soft top with 12 inch screen. I think we should get a Sasquatch vehicle but he doesn't really care and it will be driven to work more than anything so better mpg is nice.

Would you opt for lux package and leather? or High and Sasquatch package? they are about the same price point, or go cheapest route with non-sas with High package and cloth seats?

Again I love mine just the way it is, and i loved your Utah video as it gives me hope i can get my Big Bend there one day!!!

As a 2.3 he's saying it wouldn't, couldn't, but postulating that if it were a 2.7 then it would not have gone over 3000.

Which is total BS
I have 7k on my OBX and everything is running well so far.

oh as for passengers... tell Ford to allow for the back seat to recline just a little more or a lot more ;) My son says on longer road trips it hurts his back and it isn' t as comfortable because it doesn't recline!!! I agree when I have to sit in the back, but the front and passenger seats are awesome... that is my biggest complaint oh and I wish the soft top was easier to access the cargo area but the hard top would solve that you just could not get that if you wanted it sooner, and I do like the soft top for other reasons.

For you and many others it seems so. I'm not going to be in deep sand though.
.. I'm in So Cal. ,the desert is my playground . Hit some powdered sand once in 29 palms and it was easy to get stuck unless you keep your speed up and have the right tires .😉 It was not even like beach sand but more like powdered sugar .

Chase, when you plan to drop this video?
You content is unique to the typical driver that is not hard core rock climber. As one that plan to use his Bronco as daily we curious how OB can perform on the outdoor and offroad.
Thank you for your videos.

Sounds amazing. Does that get into anything and do damage?
