Sick. I'm going to try 295 70 17 on the stock BB.
I'd not be crazy about that width tire on a 7.5in rim, especially if you air down on the trail. Hate losing a bead in the middle of nowhere.

You certainly drive a hard bargain.I don't believe in freebies!
And yes, they are FUGLY!! But since I'm paying for them, I'd sooner send them to the dumps then give them away for free! The way I see it, if someone wants the BB wheels so bad, they can buy a BB (or the wheels). I had to do it for Race Red

Not to mention they'll be SUPER close to , or even rub the Upper Control Arm. We know that from the roadshow rigs that were on 285's.I'd not be crazy about that width tire on a 7.5in rim, especially if you air down on the trail. Hate losing a bead in the middle of nowhere.
I am same week, July 12 (just updated from July 5)When is your base being built? I'd love to hear how this works before I order tires haha. I'm a 12 July build week.
I was feeling alot better about putting 285/70r17 rubber on the +35mm methods I got for my base until you had to go and write all this Paranoia resurrected!Ok all you 0 and +30 offsetters(me), zoom in on the pics below and imagine the tires pushed out 1" (30mm offset) or 2 inches (0 offset).
Also, imagine if you will, the tire pushing up several inches just hopping a simple street curb...every day at the end of your drive way.
Maybe they'll clear...maybe not.
Those crash bars on this +55 set up is tight though! Looks like it will work, but push the tires out another inch with +30 wheels ..... hmm , let alone 0 offset. What else will get rubbed?

I like those Methods. I eyeballed them for a bit but will most likely go with an ICON in titanium.I was feeling alot better about putting 285/70r17 rubber on the +35mm methods I got for my base until you had to go and write all this Paranoia resurrected!
One thing I forgot to check during dealer show was if the edges of the flares (base, or SAS, for the matter) actually 'shrink' from the nominal opening of the wheel arches inboard of them - some of these pictures make it seem like they do NOT (and why would they?)
If the flares are safe, what other dimensions are true concerns as we push outward, away from (straight, perpendicular) crash bars, control arms, etc? I can't think of any.
The crash bars are going to be a factor, but it's whether you rub anywhere on them or not.
(Not discussing steering/suspension geometry or wheel bearing loading here, just rubbing)
I'd sure like a good reason for buying these, other than they were on sale!
Thanks for the info! Based on that info OP’s big bend would need a .67 lift to be ideal, right? The lift looks the same as Base. The 285/75r16 I was considering are 32.8, so I’m still ~.47 off on lift. I wonder if I could get away with that, I won’t be doing any crazy wheeling. Just occasional mid-level trails.Yes, but you're still 0.67 inch less lift than the Badlands on 33" tires. See tables 3 and 4 at the link for additional information.

I think you're mixing up tire radius lift (1/2 tire diameter) and suspension lift. The 285/75r16, 32.8" tire is similar to the Badlands stock 32.7" tire, so your radius lift is approximately the same. Your suspension will still be approximately 0.67" lower than the Badlands stock suspension lift. Thanks for the info! Based on that info OP’s big bend would need a .67 lift to be ideal, right? Any updates on how it’s performing? Any issues?Dealer just sent pic with my truck at dealer, swapped the factory tires with 33” KO2’s (nitto grapplers are all on back order), I haven’t driven it yet so can’t attest to rubbing etc, but dealer said fit no problem….

No, that is pushing it to far, the 285/75R17 tire is 33.8" diameter, you will need about a 1" spacer lift for those to fit.My BB is being delivered tomorrow so I have to make a quick decision. Forgive me if this is all covered somewhere. Do we believe the Nitto Ridge Grappler 285 75 17 will fit the BB wheels without a lift or other modifications? The only off roading I do is if I accidentally veer off my driveway when backing up.
Is there a set of NIttos that will fit, or would you say I should go with the 33” KONo, that is pushing it to far, the 285/75R17 tire is 33.8" diameter, you will need about a 1" spacer lift for those to fit.

Would you say the KO2’s used by the original poster is as far as I can go? Is there a better Nitto option? Many thanks. No, that is pushing it to far, the 285/75R17 tire is 33.8" diameter, you will need about a 1" spacer lift for those to fit.

Ridge Grapplers are available in 285/70R17 (33"). Almost identical in size to the KO2s the OP's BB.Is there a set of NIttos that will fit, or would you say I should go with the 33” KO
