Who has a pic of the driver side dash speaker harness. Trying to find a good pic of the wire colors going into the harness.

Don’t ask :)

Flip I tried the 600HZ bass blockers and for my ears they blocked too much bass....were you pleased with the sound with those installed...like was it night and day? Thinking maybe I should try it again. I have 300hz coming in this week, was going to try those.
Pin is 1mm wide and .62mm thick. I'm sure there are some premade terminated wires available but that would add a little $ and require some soldering or butt connections. Still need to put some heat shrink on but it's ready to go.

I found this crimper kit on Amazon. I have the Molex connectors for the 4" speakers. I compared the pins included in this kit to the spec sheets for the pins from Molex/Mouser mentioned in this thread. I'm not savvy on this stuff.. would this crimper and included pins work to build this Molex connector? for $20 might be worth the gamble.

I’ve got several but this one workes better but still not ideal. They are so small I still have to fiddle with the crimp to make sure they slide in correctly.

Survey says these are the correct male connectors for the dash/rear pod speakers along with Mouser pin # 571-2-1419158-5-CT. However......The pins are incredibly small and require very careful crimping using 20ga wire. If they are not done correctly the pin won't fit in the housing and lock. Even with good crimping pliers I had to fiddle with them until they slid in and locked. Soldering would probably take care of the problem but the conductor and insulation "wings" will need to be clipped since this is where the hang up happens.

I have not messed with the kick panel speakers but my plan is to use a short section of 20ga wire that will come out of the connector, to the base blockers which plug directly into the speaker. Since most folks will be just using factory head unit 20ga is enough. If you plan to use an amp and throw more juice then I would recommend running dedicated speaker wire.

I refuse to spend $500 to crimp one terminal. Takes me about 20 seconds to do these after trying a few different ways. Soldered some but still have to crush or trim the tabs to fit in.

So, dumb question, obviously the factory 4” harness does not fit the Metra Electronics 72-5602 4-way speaker harness…
Is there a harness that does work where all you have to do is plug -n-play?

From my research, the 72-5602 is for the 6.5” in the kick panel. The 72-5600, while not an exact fit, works perfectly for the 4” in the dash.

My speakers and harnesses get delivered tomorrow, so I will be able to confirm for sure by Wednesday.

Got the new speakers in yesterday. The 72-5602 are an exact click in to the factory harness connector for the kick panel speakers. The 72-5600 harness works for the dash speakers. However, it does not click in and I had to bend the pins in the factory harness down a tiny bit to get them to align with the holes on the metra harness. Also, the pins in the factory harness are a little fatter than the holes on the metra harness. But, once aligned and pushed together it is a very secure connection (I think it would be difficult to separate them if I wanted to).
