So how do the people that have the ADV ram air hood like it so far? I see it's open to the engine compartment which would let air/dust/rain in so has anyone run into problems with the moisture? Also, how is the hood with movement at highway speeds, is there any deflection or movement (does it try to lift up) at 60-75 mph?

I have the hood and have zero issues with it. No lifts, also there is a grill that covers the opening, so no dirt and rain gets in so much. It's a great hood.

Not to hijack the thread but I know @broadicustomworks just got a Cervinis hood. I'm sure he would be happy to give you insight on it as it's similar to the adv one.

I have yet to put it on, but the Cervini comes with rain/dust tray that installs on the bottom side. Keeps the rain out.
@Copperhorse73 has his installed already.

I see the grill but thought it was more open to let air through. Is it just small openings in the hood grill, I thought I remembered seeing light through it in a picture somewhere?

If air can get in then dirt and rain can too.

APG has one also. Like ADV, it allows air out so hopefully some of the hot air doesn't linger in the engine bay.

So dirt, dust and rain are getting into Braptor engines?
I have to say , that is the logical direction for this forum to take this conversation though ,lol.

I'm specifically looking at the ADV ram air hood since there is one available locally. I know I shouldn't be spending the money on a hood right now, but it might be worth it in the long run.

The hood works well. The grill on it is to let air in. I live in S. FL where it can rain at the drop of a hat. Be clear here, and a monsoon there. I drive my Bronco, as it is my daily. There is no heavy amount of dust and rain getting in the hood. My street was literally a dirt road from the city installing 60in pipe, and my engine was not cover in dust, nor was my air filter.

Not sure what else to say, but I like my hood. It's well made and it works for me. Simple.

Well, it might not matter. The one I saw for sale locally is no longer listed so it might be sold. Thanks everyone for the info.

Hood is great. Fitment was wonderful. It’s a look. Nothing more. If you like the look,get it. Great product. My installer had no issues painting or attaching it. No light in the vent but some have added one under the hood to have some light come out at night. Reminds of me of KIT from Knight Rider. I like it just the way it is. I painted my vent in the hood the same color as my wheels and grill.
