My expectations are low for $30K, especially now that I cannot get X-Plan.
If you drop out... I move up the list.

Honestly, I do not understand the outrage. This seems to be out of the control of ford. In addition, you now have the option of saving $1,900. I understand, it sucks if you really want the black top now. Still, I think what Ford is offering is very fair to most. However, white roofs should be an option based on this information. Saving $1,900 is a big deal to me.

This works for me - with the price going down about 2k - makes the 4dr Wildtrack within my bounds - 48 or 49k - I like grey now.

So if like Badlands 4dr you will get the standard soft top but can upgrade to MIC grey for $700 if you want hardtop?

That's horse sh!t! That's why I wanted the Wildtrak, for the painted modular top. My reservation was in mid August so probably in the realm of late availability anyway. We'll see.

Correct me if I am wrong but the way I'm reading it FORD will give me a molded in color { cyber orange } hard top for my 2-door cyber orange FE for FREE. Then by time the modular hard top is avaliable so probably will a soft top option from Bestops for my 2 door

This is new "official" news but it's not new news at all. It's been posted here many times that this was likely.

At least they have given the option....otherwise they would need to fully delay the FE and the WT.

Agreed. Wish they would just offer the ability to ship 2 drs topless. I get it that you're getting the MIC free, but it's useless if you upgrade to modular later.
