Boy am I glad this isn't important to me. My rig will be late availability anyway with the Mansquatch, but the top thing really pisses some of you guys off.... I'd just get the thing bedlinered if grey was a big deal for me.

I have a couple of questions concerning this as I was a fan of the painted blacktop and want to get that on my rig.

1. What does late availability for MY21 actually mean? Late availability for the model (meaning 2022+) or later in the 2021 year?

2. How would it work If I was expected to get the Bronco delivered between September - December and had painted top selected?

3. If I choose to go with MIC (because I really need a new car at time of delivery) will I be able to purchase the painted top as a separate purchase once it becomes available?

4. Can I purchase the rig with the painted option knowing it will be MIC on delivery and then swap out for painted once made available?

Well, technically speaking, that would be a body match top and not available until '22. I realize it is also black, but they will not see it that way. Don't assume logic will in any way factor into the equation.

They do offer a Shadow Black modular top though. So technically, it's a different option than color matched.

I am going to push and wait for what I want. I just can't do the gray top.
Disappointing, but not the biggest deal either (for me).
I had better look for new tires for Tacoma in the mean time..it's going to be a while.

I was thinking the same. Just add the hard top later when it's available. I'm not waiting.

Is this option confirmed? Basically, settle for whatever top now, then swap/purchase when painted becomes available?
