any base owners non sasq running 37s with 3:73 gears with 2.3? looking for performance details with that combo - acceleration good, highway power good 70+?....thxs
I have a 2.7 base 2dr w/3.73. Ran the base tires for 19k+ miles. Went to 33s and could feel power delivery, braking, cornering, and stability was all affected. Now in my opinion, I wouldn't go larger as I'm already sketched that something is gonna break if I wheel it somewhat hard but only time will tell. Before I got my current bronco I test drove a 2.3 4 dr squatch and personally I was not impressed by how much I had to push the pedal down to go anywhere. Of course you can do what your trying to do, but it's more of a matter of what your use for the bronco is and if you care about drivability. Performance to some people is very subjective. I came from a Hummer H3 pushing 35s with 250ish ft lbs of torque. I drove it every day, city to city. But in comparison I think the Bronco is a rocket. All subjective.

I was getting heat on this forum trying to do 35’s let alone 37’s 😆 I’m sure you can but it will definitely be just for the look
I wonder why you got shade. I think the manual trans Bronco with Sasquatch has 35" tires and 4.7 diff gears. In contrast, the manual trans base non-Sas Bronco has 4.46 diff gears. 4.70 vs 4.46. That's not a huge difference in gearing.

Meaning from an engine rpm standpoint, putting 35" tires on a base non-Sas (at least with manual trans) does not seem like much of a stretch. Although I'd probably stick with 33" or 34" tires, at least on a 2-door base.

(If I'm missing something in the above specs, let me know.)

I’ve joined the Base club. I gave up on getting my July 2020 Black Diamond order, and found a 2 door Sasquatch on a lot nearby. 2.3 and auto. The carbonized gray is really growing on me. A few upgrades and it will be the same build as a BD, but still less than I was planning to pay. Base SAS really is the cheat code!

You are missing something - the original question was about running 37s on the base auto 3.73 gearing. I assume @refade1 has an auto, too.

He mentioned getting heat for wanting to go 35s as well, but yes looking at some other posts, you are right he's got the auto with 3.73.

On thing that has puzzled me, the manual base with 30" tires has 4.46 diff gears, and changing to Sas option with 35" tires, only bumps the diff gears to 4.7. That seems a rather small change in diff gears, for such a large tire size change. (Although I'm glad about the 4.46 diff gears, as they allow for swapping in larger tires, without having to swap diff gears.)

Yeah Steve, absolutely love the 16” beauty rings!! What brand are they and where can I purchase them?
I saw them on another member’s post and ordered from Amazon. I got the stainless ones but they also have chrome. Install was easy they just pop right in and are held in place with metal clips. They will not come loose and I think they really finish off the look the wheel. Link:

The great debate. 33’s or 35’s base manual 2.3 non sas. 2door. Not many options for 34s. Still trying to figure what I’m putting on the 17x8.5 +25 wheels. I know I want a Al or c rated tire the E rated dare just to much for the bronco

You'll need to run some sorta lift for 35s. Manual gets a good rear axle ratio, so that's not an issue. 2Ds look good w/ 33s.

So I bookmarked this on purpose, I new I would need it many times in the future. 😁

A Big Bend, a Base, a Black Diamond, or even an Outer Banks if these models do not have squatch package then I will say, you CAN put 35's on a non-lifted Bronco they all have the same suspension. If you doubt me it was posted here long ago, lost in the many repeat threads about where is my Bronc. Or we need a Bronco wave.:cautious:

When first posted I asked questions to make sure the OP was up front. sure looks legit to me. Although I do not have a Bronco yet, finally got a build date the beginning of Mar on my Aug 2020 reservation, I can say by seeing them in person, driving them off road, and posts I have read here 35's will fit a non-lifted Bronco, they just do not go on without modification and a lift is not necessarily on the list. It does depend on what you want to do with your Bronc. 😁

Do they leave a residue when you take them off to swap one color to the next? Got some as a gift, but don't want to damage the original letters. Thanks!
I've never removed them. I bought a second base grill and put the red on it,... And then it turned winter so that's still in the basement.
First pair still going strong

I think the black letters are terrible and leave a gaping hole in the grill, so I'll always cover them, I'm not worried about residue. But, my thoughts would be that while they might not leave residue, they may fade the paint where the tape touches. Sometimes it's like the tape will leach color from paint. But this isn't always the case, as I don't think vhb tape does that. Only way to tell what the tape will do is test it.
But even if it does leach paint you can apply stickerfab vinyl covers

is this the correct part number for the leather wrapped steering wheel?
