I've had various issues with automatic transmissions. Just had my Jeep TJ auto trans rebuilt. No problems with my manual transmissions. Got over 200,000 miles out of my wife's Geo Storm manual trans - without a clutch change!

I'm not against the auto trans and liked my auto trans CJ7 for off-roading (when it wasn't overheating). Just haven't had good luck with them as the miles piled up. Hopefully Ford offers a strong manual trans in the Bronco. Manual is what I'm leaning towards at the moment - will see once we get to test drive.
I believe they are using the 10R80, the auto on this one will not an issue, bazillion of them in the F150 starting in 2018 and since 2017 start with Raptor. And plenty of room for a tune, with the ability to handle 590 ft lbs of torque.

I'm leaning towards a base 2dr and 7sp manual. I've never owned a 4x4 before. Any idea how capable/incapable the base will be (obviously no hardcore offroad) without Sasquatch package?
Very, but not very. On pizza cutters with no armoring underneath, no lockers etc she will be just find as a camping or deer woods rig. You could probably pick a line through 80% of the nations traiks but that other 20% would get you in trouble especially since you would be a noob.

On the flipside, if you are not used to tall vehicles 35's will get you in trouble too. Whatever you get, find a local 4wd group and go learn. They will hold your hand as you learn the ins and outs of keeping it rubber side down.

C Grey for me I think as well.

2dr base, v6, sasq and I'll bolt the rest on myself...and remove the carpets. :) Here is teh color on the 2 dr, this is an upper trim but I prefer the blacked out grill of teh base.

Vinyl wraps make all colors possible on the base.

Is the the base bronco? It has the base grille but i know you cant get orange on the base.. but it doesnt have the upgraded headlights either? What trim is this thing.

This is the pre-production model. This is the color they’ve debuted the 2-door in, so that’s why the trim is not labeled.

Are there any pictures of the interior for the base, or the non high package screen?
The only interior shots I could see were from the pre-production model. Which is the Cyber Orange but without a trim badge. “Red_Line Reviews” on YouTube was where I saw it first.

The only thing that is really killing the base model for me is the lack of color options..... I mean seriously Ford, that is a lousy (but arguably effective) way to force people into a higher trim level... Carbonized Grey is ok but I would much prefer Cactus Grey or Cyber Orange...

Also, anyone notice that it looks like android auto and carplay are going to be an option even though the vehicle comes with the 8" screen standard?

the android auto listing is a mistake, it is standard.

The 2-door base is looking better each day....get the 2.7 ecoboost and the Sasquatch package and call it a day! Might be under $35k for all this! Sure you won’t have all the awesome GOAT modes available on the badlands and higher trims but you would have a fast awesome bronco! If they would just offer the mid package on the base! It would be the perfect setup but you could live without the mid package....since android auto and Apple CarPlay are standard and you got a 8 inch sync 4 screen and the lcd instrument panel in front of the steering wheel is the same of all models....man Base is looking better to me each day! I ain’t gonna knock anybody going base...because it might be the best way to go....

If the actual colors look like these renders (almost green) I'm in for C-gray. Are there other Ford products I can look at to verify actual color

Great to see shots of Base interior, looks great. Does anyone know interior color availability? Exterior side profile looks like a bit of a belly dragger, Might have to go Sasquatch or swap out for 33's right away

Do we have any idea if the upfitter switches are going to be a standalone option? They aren’t listed as an option for any of the trims on ford’s site, so I’d think they are one of the standalone options @laj.tuxmek mentioned.

the other thing I wonder, is the interior specs on the base model list USB ports for the front row, but I don’t see them in those images, inside the center console perhaps?
