Nice. I agree completely. I have no plans to put balloon tires on my Base either. We will be the rarest of the rare. Lol! That said, to each their own. I like the way all Broncos look.I'm not into wheeling or the huge tire look, and think the smaller wheels kinda fit the theme of the back to the basics base Bronco, and a lower entry and egress heigth is not a bad thing as this will be used for crawling malls. Not really! Haven't been to one in 30 years, but it will be used to haul my son to hockey practice and ski areas. I will drive on the stock for awhile and see how I like, but may upgrade at some point. Something like Grabber ATs would look cool even at the smaller size.
That looks great. I have been thinking about doing the same to mine when it comes in. Any tips or advice you would give after doing yours?A little before and after! PlastiDipped my steelies until my new rims/tires get delivered. Snowed last night, so I got to take some nice pictures
If you want to PlastiDip them, definitely get the spray trigger! It’s like $10. Makes the application wayyyyy easier. Also, do the spare first before doing the wheels that are actually on the Bronco. I jacked my spare all up and have to peel the PlastiDip and redo it. I learned from doing the spare first what works and doesn’t work on this specific rim. 3-4 dust coats before applying the wet coats was clutch! Helped it from not pooling or dripping. I also used the Emerald Black HyperDip kit, if you were wondering the color. That looks great. I have been thinking about doing the same to mine when it comes in. Dang!! I love those pops of red! Ya the steelies are temp for me until I can afford a new set of wheels. I plan to paint mine black too at some point. So clever to paint the caps! Love it!!A little before and after! PlastiDipped my steelies until my new rims/tires get delivered. Snowed last night, so I got to take some nice pictures
This is great. Was planning on getting powder coating quotes but this may be a good option… I also plan to replace at first sign of rusting.A little before and after! PlastiDipped my steelies until my new rims/tires get delivered. Snowed last night, so I got to take some nice pictures
Its extra, $350. But the roof panels come with it for free.Does the base come with the bags for the doors or is that an extra?
Man. Blue was my 2nd favorite color choice. The more I see on here I get nervous that it will become my first favorite AFTER I get my carb gray bronco here shortly. Looking sharp!Done a few upgrades to my base now. Just added Method 703s 17x8.5 +35mm with BFG KO2 A/T 285/70/17. No issues with fitment and line up well with the stock fender flares. Also added the RC SR2 rail and steps they were definitely a pain to install but hold up well. Also removed the chrome bronco badge and added the black one. Have a few more upgrades I will do later on.
Really happy to see this. Have been waiting for pics of a base with 235/85/16 tires.(im)patiently waiting for my build; 2dr base/manual trans/aux switches/iconic silver. Ordered 3/21 (#74 of 77 allocations at my dealer), reordered 10/21 for MY22.
Plans: 235/85R16 Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires, 16" wagon wheels (older Nissan truck spares) - debating on painting them white or keeping them black.
