I'm kind of torn on this. The 2023 JL Sport and Willys Sport are cheaper than the 2022's because the 7" radio and A/C are now standard. MSRP for a Willys Sport spec'd out to what I'd order comes out to $37,285 while the Bronco comes in at $39,780. Both manuals, I'd prefer the 2.3 to the 3.6 because of the powerband / torque, and the Bronco would be in Cactus Gray (Earl Gray for the Wrangler offered later in the year).

$2500 difference in price but there's A LOT of standard features on the Bronco that make up that cost pretty quick.

Test drive them both on the same slightly rough road you're mind will be made up immediately

How are you specing out both vehicles?

Basically 2 door, hard top, manual trans. I've driven the JL and it's leaps and bounds nicer than the JK I had before. Reviews have stated the on-road manners of the Bronco are better.

Problem is there's none around to test drive to even see if I like it.

Looking at the Jeep site it's not really a fair comparison, to get the mechanical ability of the Base Sasquatch (lockers front/rear, 4.7 gearing, advanced 4wd, lift, 35" tires) you'd have to begin with the Rubicon, add the hardtop and paint you're almost at $46k and you still don't have 35" tires.

Don't forget to add $1,395 to the Jeep if you want air conditioning, and $395-$495 for any color besides white. My "Base Jeep" painted blue, with A/C, locking axles and floor mats came in at $34,245. Of course, I couldn't "find" one within 250 miles with my exact spec so it would have to be ordered.

Yes it it a Sasquatch, and I think the interior is great . If you are looking to adopt I’m available!

I’ve had my base Sasquatch for about a month now. Originally reserved 10/2020, blend date of 6/3, took delivery on 6/10. It’s been better than I imagined, the only thing I’ve had issues with is keeping my dog out when the doors are off. He’s just as excited to go for a ride as I am.
