I wonder if you cut a cross section out of those Bilsteins, you'll find a Fetzer valve, ball bearings, gauze pads, 3-in-1 oil, and 'bout 10 quarts of Prestone anti-freeze........no; make that Quaker State.!?
Hard to tell, they cleaned this one up before they took photos.

Thank you to @Richw23 for this diagram from this post.

Are you talking about these two?

Because to me it just looks like the reservoir is oriented in opposite directions:

Great catch. Engineering tests for reservoir location.

Almost looks like a snap ring on the spring perch... but it also looks like a render to me, so maybe Iā€™m just seeing things. However, if itā€™s not welded on, the perches would be pretty easy to modify/make.

Regardless, thanks for a thread with an actual attempt at information... instead of the ā€œnormalā€ stuff of late.

Your simply looking at the left and right versions in the individual photos, the reservoirs are inboard on both, as seen in this chassis photo.

Here is another photo of the cutaway.

If you look at the location of bottom of the reservoir to the bottom of the shock, it looks like reservoirs are flipped longitudely.

Great observation, now I see it, looking at the weld points on the reserviors.

Wonder if the answer to the difference is snap rings (would be a low cost way for Ford to change between Squatch and Badlands):

Another guy and I were discussing this a bit ago. If that's all it is for the height change, it will be amazing.

I'm just convinced you don't work at all and just refresh the forum main page and reply as soon as you see any updates all day long. Or you "watch" every post and do it that way. You're a machine.

It's a gift you have Zack, I was in a training class once that discussed something similar. They explained that a very small percent of people, I believe it was less than 20%, have the ability to perceive small, minute differences in things, count your blessings.

@North7 still looks CGI to me... no threads apparent on anything, especially the inner rod, at either end. Iā€™ve been wrong before though.
