I’ve been debating everyday what to do. I’d like the 2 door BD 2.7 AT with squatch - don’t really need the squatch but let’s be honest it looks killer . But if this puts me over the 2 door BL I will most likely do the badlands with very minimal upgrades

all of this can change once the prices come out..

Hey,

So my plan has been set on a SasDiamond for awhile (amazed I managed to settle when I was bouncing between 3 models for the first couple of weeks :ROFLMAO: )

I'm planning the mid package too for the remote start and heated seats

My questions come from the need for the Sasquatch, yes it looks awesome but I love the look of the Badlands on 33s....I'm never going to be trying Rubicon the Bronco is a daily driver with the occasional camping trip, taking the mountain bike out and maybe a little light overlanding duty

Do I really need the front locker, lift, 4.70 FD and 35s from the Sasquatch, or would a small aftermarket lift (or even factory if it's available) and 33s on a BD be enough? Suppose it depends on cost...
A set of 33s would be a lot less than $6k
Which models have the circular headlights?
anything higher than black diamond gets the “fancy” LED headlights, but they all have LEDs and they are all circular.

That's what I was thinking. A real set of 33s won't be that much smaller than the "35"s on the squatch. Hoping I can fit either 295/70s or 285/75s on the stock steelies without spacers.

I rather not bother with those 35’s road noise and mpg won’t be any better either. 32-33 is fine and 2 inch lift would suffice on the BD
Agree on the

I agree on the 33”s. This will be my wife’s daily driver. I worry about mpgs since she drives 58 miles round trip every day.

I’m pretty much set on BD. Only other trim I like is wild trak and that’s mainly because of Baja mode and the 2.7 standard. If I could get Baja mode in the BD I’d be happy but it’s nothing a tune can’t fix.

My reservation is on the BD but depending on the price of my options, plus I would have to go with aftermarket wheels and tires, I might move up to the BL, but once I add the 2.7 and hardtop should I just go with Wildtrak! I’m going crazy! I need pricing!!!

It seems that there is a lot of discussion of BD or BL, I'm actually waffling the other way: 1. Up optioned Base (rear locker is really the only requirement, but maybe unavailable stand alone on the Base) 2. Base + Sasquatch (all dependent on Sas pricing, and I really prefer 33 AT's) 3. The Black Diamond actually checks all my boxes (might prefer fabric seats) but $7K over Base seems steep, I really couldn't justify over $5K for the upgrade.

295/70R17 tires are usually arond 33.5 inches, and 285/75R17 tires are about 34". They likely would fit with the Sasquatch package.

Yeah, but I'm not doing squatch. Paying to limit articulation doesn't sound like the best use of my money. If I have to change coilovers to get a true 33in tire to fit, I'd rather pay aftermarket and get more articulation.
And those tires are more like 33.2-33.8 depending on manufacturer.

I'm just going to wear out the Grabbers, then let everyone else tell me then what will fit the stock BD. ?

Yeah, that's not a bad strategy as it may take 6 months or so for aftermarket to give choices. Since I don't know backspacing or clearance, I really have no idea what I can drive it off the lot with. If I can't get a 33 on it as is, I'll use the grabbers until I can.

That's a 275, not a 295 or 285. BTW, the 275/70R17 BFG AT KO2s are likely what I'll opt for with the stock wheels after the Grabbers wear out, if I don't get wider rims.

I don’t see how the GOAT modes will make much difference for off road abilities. 4x4 transfer cases go into 4hi or 4lo. The only difference between Baja mode and sport mode is 4hi in Baja from what I saw on another post here. Manually switch to 4hi from sport mode to mimic Baja mode?

The optional wheels are high gloss black that match the optional badlands wheel. Are the wheels in the photo above the high gloss black? What are the chances we could get the same tire as badlands with the optional wheels?
