Grateful and lucky enough to own both. The ‘75 will be in one of my grandkids garage one day. Whichever one is there to pick my old ass up when I fall down:)

If I could only have 1 vehicle… then the ‘21 w/out a doubt. If I’ve already got a vehicle, than probably the ‘75 if I had to pick between the two.

I love the idea of a 3rd vehicle being unique on the road.

Now, if I had the ‘21/‘22 and could have a third vehicle… I’d probably go with one of the beauts from ‘69 like the GTO Judge, Chevelle, Camaro, Mustang, or Cougar. Wow what a crop!

I am extremely jealous of your ‘75. It looks amazing.

I just drove a 1980 Amc Eagle cross country on 28" superswampers 3 years ago. No big deal. 3 years before that it was a 79 Econoline 250 4x4. Been across country in several 70s and 80s E150s. Old junk is what I do. Honestly everytime I think new I get excited and very scared at the same time. Breakdowns and road issues are so much easier in older vehicles, you can justv tweak them and limp em to a parts store. Newer ones you have to call in a team of engineers. Dont get me wrong I want a new one, but I would prefer a fleet of classics to a fleet of modern vehicles.
Okay, come on, I get the "old school is cool gig", but being near 60 years old now, I grew up analog, on points and condensers and distributor caps, with cam-driven diaphragm fuel pumps and the miracle of vacuum advance. Still have my Craftsman timing light and dwel tach in my tool box right next to my ECU scan tools and OBDII stuff.

Sorry, but modern cars just run and drive a thousand times better than even stuff from the early 1980's. Modern cars just do not break nearly as often and require a pittance of maintenance compared to a 1972 Maverick. 10,000-mile oil changes, 100,000- mile spark plug changes, 50,000-mile airfilter changes. 100,000-mile drivetrain fluid changes. Sealed wheel bearings. LOL, I could go on and on. Oh, a trouble code comes up, plug in a OBDII scan tool on your smart phone and read the code, and go look at the system/sensor throwing the light. Compared to: a fouled/burnt spark plug; clogged jet; holed carb float; sticking choke plate; worn fuel pump diaphragm; bad condenser; ill-gapped points; burnt points; leaking vacuum advance; carboned distributor cap? Please...

BTY we just took our then 21 year-old BMW Z3 across country in 2017, so I'm no stranger to old cars and road trips. My Honda MC hits 23 this year. I have a 2006 BMW with 415,000 miles on it (original drivetrain). It runs almost as good as the day I picked it up with 3 delivery miles on the ODO. No 1970's era car would ever go 400,000 miles without replacement of major components. LOL.

QUESTION: which would you rather have - a vintage bronco — OR the 2021
Be thankful for the throwback we have...looks like vehicles in the near future will have everything short of Spock's "mind meld":

"When Ford announced that starting in 2023 its cars and trucks would come with Google Maps, Assistant and Play Store preinstalled, CEO Jim Farley called the partnership between his iconic U.S. automaker and the search giant a chance to “reinvent” the automobile — making it an office-on-wheels, with more connectivity than any phone or laptop.

“We were spending hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of millions every year, keeping up with basically a generic experience that was not competitive to your cellphone,” Farley crowed on CNBC, announcing the six-year deal with the tech giant.

The deal gave Ford some much-needed cachet and Google a chance to showcase its products for millions of drivers and their passengers. But many tech-industry watchdogs looked at the Ford-Google car of the future with different eyes. They fear that tech companies will soon be doing to cars what they did to phones: Tying their exclusive operating systems to specific products to force out competitors and dominate a huge swath of the global economy."

Appreciate that.

Originally shipped from Michigan to dealer in San Gabriel CA. Lived most it’s life there so is very solid and cancer free with exception of one small spot in passenger floor pan. Have some bigger projects still long term(chassis, suspension). Coyote swap would be cool too but the original 302 is a champ so maybe not. Original frames were notorious for cracking and this ones no exception. Drives straight and rides solid. Bout all you can ask for.

Interesting thing is the Marti Report indicates she was cruising around SoCal miles from where I was born in Whittier in 1976. Kinda cool.

My early Bronco with 400V8, C6, 44 front, 9” rear, F250 ps box, disc brakes, was unbreakable off-road back in the day with the “little” tires available. I am not very confident the same can be said for the ’22 if I ever get it? The new one will surely drive better on the road, have some nice “tech” and be more comfortable. That is what I am looking at in my old age...

Glad I'm getting a '22. Screw Google. Bad enough I have it in my phone.

A 71 and a 21. I was fortunate enough to have purchased the 71 when they were still cheap.

The Bronco investment would be an un cut '77. Fuel doors and all. I remember getting the nose up on a hill and the carb just dumped fuel into the manifold. The new ones will probably out wheel the early ones. You got a perfect 1G, see that tow truck following you??? LOL Gone in 60 seconds.
