Not sure that could be done, what power are you looking for? It's 400W (in park) 300w (in drive).
Why would there be a difference? It’s powered by an inverter…..

Back of center console on '21 Black Diamond 2 door with Mid package.

Haven't tried he 110V (400W), but be aware the USB ports are for power only, and radio will not read them. The front USB's in the center at bottom of dash will power the phone and the radio will read my music USB stick.

Here is a photo of a cheap 2000 watt inverter. This would be capable of powering your George Foreman Grill. Note the size of the 12 volt DC supply wiring that is required.

Is it possible to increase the wattage on the power outlet ?
its going to be bottlenecked by the alternator.

I dont think we can really know what the exact limit is for the alternator as far as hooking an inverter up to the battery terminals directly. but Id say going over 400w is going to be risky. Atleast for sustained draw.

Not sure? Maybe the car has more free juice when not driving?

Not so.

You can run an inverter off of a 12 volt battery until the voltage goes too low for the inverter. No charging source required.

The Bronco specs indicate the alternator (2.7L) can supply 240 amps at 12 volts. This would sustain a 2800 watt inverter.

You'd have to discount the system draw for the car itself. not sure if thats a negligible amount.

Or if the alternator is capable of running non-stop.

Well since we are on the topic is it possible to put a high output alternator and and a second battery and wire it to an inverter that could run anything else upto 1500 or 2500 watts ?

Bringing this thread back from the dead.... does the Bronco's built-in 110V AC inverter outlet produce a pure sine wave or a modified sine wave?

oof. thanks.
not good and glad I found out before plugging in any sensitive equipment.
I'm currently researching DC-DC Converter options to get some pure sine wave power inside the truck. Not too difficult to solve, but spending another $150+ to accomplish this safely is... annoying.

Hard to believe Ford dropped the ball on this with a vehicle completely designed around going off-road, overlanding, etc... but here we are. 🤷‍♂️

Right, now that I know this, replacing the inverter is another task to add to the list. Assuming it's in the rear console near the receptacle, hopefully there is enough space to simply swap it out for a higher quality (also more expensive) unit.

If you're open to it, I'd love to see what your research net here if you could post it up when you're ready.
