That's why your dealer selection is massively important. If you get a dealer that is ordering within their means you have a good chance at getting your vehicle this year. If you have a dealer that doesn't care and just lets you order whatever... then you're probably screwed.

Unfortunately we as customers don't have the tools to know which dealers are smart about their ordering and which aren't. Which goes back to what @flip was saying earlier in another thread about making the allocations public to some degree rather than having it remain confidential information.
100% accurate. If I would have found this forum prior to me ordering it would have made a world of difference. MY dealer still tells me they do not know what their allocation # is.

Iā€™m curious, for those who put in an order did you put a deposit down?

This is the first time I have seen "limited horizon". What does this mean?
We've heard all about their rockstars. It's their band's name.

I disagreeā€¦there is a purpose for those seeking a manual whether dealer stock or used. I love your passion for the manual. Leave it listed!
Alright, you've convinced me. Added a disclaimer in the intro and re-uploaded it.

Iā€™m curious, for those who put in an order did you put a deposit down?
I did not.

It's a very dealer-specific thing. The overall trend among dealers lately seems to be heading in the "deposit required" direction, just to ensure people are truly serious about their order. But there are still plenty of dealers out there that do not require a deposit.

Orders are still going to prioritized based on 1. Dealer Allocation 2. time stamp 3.commodity constraints.
Old orders will be prioritized, if the build falls into what commodities are available.
I certainly hope this holds true. This does make sense.

Just my $100 deposit. My dealer said usually they do $500 deposits but "with the wait time" $100 would suffice. Turns our that wait will be 2 years if my bronco being built this week ships on time.

Ford Bronco Bronco scheduling this week 3/23/23 is "limited horizon" = cleanup scheduling 2023-03-21 11_47_16-Search results - baustin.berry@gmail.com - Gmail

For something more recent, another dealer I had thought about ordering with sent me the march 27 order bank details and they want a $500 refundable deposit.

roughly 15k orders are yet to be scheduled.

~27% WT
~20% BL
~20% 2 DR
~52% SAS
~60% LUX

Saying SHOULD b/c who really knows, what will happen between now and October!

WT- about 50% should be built.
2 DR - about 90% should be built.
SAS- < 75%
LUX - 60%

Best/most current forecast/estimate of what will(should) be scheduled for 23MY. This will/can change weekly, based on what commodities are actually available.

Of course, the likeliness of getting scheduled, is still based on how many allocations your select dealership has remaining.

Ford should really limit the number of orders it takes for the constrained items. I guess if they hold true to prioritizing current orders over new orders, there would not be an issue. However when you factor in dealer allocation, it sounds like that could end up hurting existing order holders.
