Curious what the difference in price between the 2 was . I also went non SAS and if memory serves saved $8k…. Which I may eventually spend in upgrades, but I can budget it in gradually. My next big upgrade is steering rack.

I was wrong about the price difference for the Black Diamond. SAS is $5245.

Black Diamond was and still is the only model that gave me the exact options I wanted.

When I attended the Austin Offroadeo, there was 4-dr Badlands in front of me. It was the only one of the fleet that didn't have the Sasquatch package. There were only a few times, it scraped on the belly. But I attribute it to driver's error in their choice of lines that they took.

For most use cases, 33's will take everyone where they need to go. Yes, larger tires make those same trails easier as you don't need to be as disciplined in choice of lines. For some, 35's are necessary for their off road needs.
In other words, the SAS Badlands is the Bronco for HandiCapable offroaders :)
