That’s a commitment. I did a 2000 mile trip over three days. I can say nope never again.

These are nice trucks but not built for comfort in a commute. Will stick to my BMWs for commuting and travel. I am leaving the Bronco next week at my house in the mountains for the summer. Will use the X5 to travel back and forth.

Valentine V1 Gen 2
JBV1 on spare old phone (no sim card needed)
Set of OBX take-offs to rack up the miles cheap.
Killmat to the interior.
Adjusted the roof to seal properly (much less noise).

That should about do it. I have a few miles on my 2021 Bronco.

IMO the Bronco is pretty comfortable in terms of the seats, layout, ergonomics, suspension, etc, but if you're going to be driving that far every day I'd do some of the wind/road noise reduction stuff that are available on here. I can link you to some posts if needed

Have you stopped driving it as much lately? You re mileage has seemed to slow down alittle...you were on pace to to get to a 100k several months ago i thought.

I did a bit more than that for the first year or so.

Audible/audio books - I always thought it was stupid, but I got through some good literature that I may never have bothered reading in my life. It also calmed down feelings of road rage because the books were always longer than the commute. The delays added more story time rather than just pissed me off.

I 3D printed a cupholder insert for my requisite Red Bull can and particular brand of water bottle.

I did it with the 7MT and few, if any, stretches of road where I could remain in one gear more than a mile. I kept a chill-out stop on my routes in case I needed to stretch my legs or eat a snickers. That meant I was adding 15 minutes to my commute, but if I didn't need to stop, then I was 15 minutes early.

I have the base model and my ass tends to get a little sore if I'm sitting too long. I've done a lot of road trips with it and it's fine but I do have to move around a lot. The base seats are meh
With the gas burned for that commute your wallet will be much thinner and more comfortable to sit on.

One of these, because non adjustable seat belt heights suck;

One of these clamped to the console Grab handle for a simple phone mounts;

And as stated by others, audio books, and a quality sound system.

I've been commuting on I-95 in Viriginia for 20 years now, (32 Miles, that take anywhere from 40 minutes to 90 minutes), one of the worst commutes there is, But having a good book, or good music on a quality audio system can make most any commute tolerable.

So I'm switching jobs from a commute of about 15 minutes and 7 miles to over an hour and over 50 miles (all one way, so double for a day's worth of driving).

What is something you've done to make it a littler more tolerable and more comfortable?
I bought a Honda Civic for commuting.

Hard to believe a lot of Broncos are priced higher than an X5. I love my Bronco. It's a great vehicle for what it is. I have a 2 door Heritage manual. Pop off the top and cruise the coast or drive it on the beach and it's a blast. But let's be honest...is it anywhere even close to the quality of an X5?

Dirty Dog 4x4 headliner if you have a soft top. Otherwise try not to slap E Rated 35’s like some of the guys here. What you’re getting from the factory is probably the most comfortable ride unless you have 5 grand for a set of Kings.

According to most of the ranking groups... the X5 is on the lower half of the ratings for reliability... (As is the Bronco), and with a lowest starting MSRP of $65,700, It's not really that price competitive either, unless comparing the bottom Bimmer to a well optioned OBX.

It almost certainly is a far more comfortable commuter, but it's really not in anyway comparable to a Bronco.

Not a whole lot, I love driving this thing, row my own gears. I commute 30 miles one-way. BD with MGV seats, I added wooden beaded seat covers to alleviate the back/butt/leg sweat. A padded console arm rest cover. Apple Music and Podcast. Sunglasses.

I usually drive my F150 to work, but the past 3 weeks have been all in my Base 2DR. To me, it's just as comfortable as the F150. I drive 28 miles each way, mostly in heavy traffic on a highway. I have no complaints.
