Cordless impact wrench

I haven't done much auto work, beyond oil changes, since I was in highschool and that was a bit ago. I was wondering how folks use these impact wrenches, especially the ones with insanely high torque numbers, without over tightening. So when I saw this I was like..

The insanely high torque values quite often turn out to be insanely high BS. My 200ft/lb admittedly cheesy gun would barely squeeze out 100. Which was actually ideal as I needed 110.
Like others have said, get a torque stick. If you don't trust them get one that is one value lower and hand torque to spec.
