I could swear the last time someone posted this it read Service fill with oil filer 7.0 qt.

Found it https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/2-7-oil-change-took-6-quarts-not-7.20789/post-746905
Can @NorthShoreBronco help out with a clarification here?

Did it change from 7 to 6?

Based on what others have said it is 7. If they insist on six just go to any store and buy something comparable to motor craft super premium. Hell I bet you can find the exact oil that they fill em up with. Then just dump the one quart bottle on top of the engine and via osmosis it will absorb into the oil pan.

I looked at 21/22 both show same cap,so after oil change check and adjust level.

  1. Advise the customer that oil level indicator readings must be taken every 320 km (200 mi) or weekly, using the revised marks as drawn. Remind the customer that the engine needs a minimum 15 minute drainback for an accurate reading and that the oil level indicator must be firmly seated in the tube prior to taking the reading.

Guys I went to different dealer.

I am really confused is it 6 or 7 quarts?

I did have parts order me the right dipstick. I just want the right amount of oil.

Please help.

Is the final answer 6 or 7 quarts for the 2.7?
From the above posted comments....it has led to more confusion. Looks like 7.5 from the factory and 6 quarts thereafter. So...........maybe it is 6 quarts and we DO have the right dipstick. I was going to order the shorter dipstick today from my Dealer. I guess I will wait until this is settled by Ford.

@Ford Motor Company > some help here please. Thank you.

I have done three changes so far and measured them all. I put on my hoist in my shop and let it drain for half hour at least. I have measured all three times and get pretty much 7qts out every time. So that’s what goes back in for me. Wish ford Wasn’t so cryptic and just clear up for all. Never had these issues with my Toyotas or Cummins powered rams.

Holy moly not this again.

It's 7 quarts and you need the updated dipstick. The correct stick is PN MB3Z-6750-B.

I just brought my 22 2.7 in for oil change and dealer insists it’s 6 quarts.

see attached picture of what they gave me they went by.

I’m confused and thought it was 7 and the user guide says 7 quarts.

I really don’t want my ride messed up.

Can it really change from 21 to 22? This is so messed up….

please help

Its 7 quarts.
I grilled my Service tech at my dealership. He said the oil level with the current dip still is well into the twists on the dip stick. (i.e. past the max fill hole) I even had the service writer contact Ford to verify that the correct dip stick level is past the max fill hole into the twists.

Also, from the factory my Bronco oil level came into the twists and past the max fill hole.

Without question it is 7 quarts

I purchased the new dip stick and it reads perfectly at 7 quarts.
Get the correct dip stick and your problems will be solved.

I too did not feel right about overfilling the engine past the Max fill hole.
I fought this oversight like a man on a mission, to later capitulate.

Ford should have been crystal clear on this.....they weren't!

Here is the Bronco Nation Oil specs 7 quarts:

I did my first oil change a couple weeks ago and I’m not really sure how much came out, but I only put 6 back in. It’s reading full on the dipstick. Ran it and left it, checked again and still full. Checked at the end of the week and still full. When I get home today, I’ll check the part number on the dipstick.

If this is all true, why hasn't there been official notice from Ford that there is an updated dipstick?

While the dealer should have the resources to verify it, it is YOUR vehicle. Tell them what you want. Even if they refused and only put in 6; most folks are driving more than a quart down on any given day anyways as few people actually check it as often as recommended between the longer intervals. Not the end of the world.

Here is the dilemma...on the actual Ford website for owners manuals, note that an owner can click on either an HTML version or PDF of a manual...and if you select the HTML version, for vehicles built after 6/20/22, it states "5.7 liters" (6 quarts). If, however, you select PDF, note that for the SAME vehicle, same 2.7, it states 7 quarts. Whoever runs the website needs to fix it. It is and has been 7 quarts.
