Ford Bronco Developing a HATE for my Load Range E Tires IMG_3875

I put these Terra Grappler G2's on about 10,000 miles ago, and I am ready to get rid of them. Love the look, offroad they are great, but this thing doesn't ride anywhere close to as good as my F150 did on the road, and I am thinking it is the E rating on the tires. Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated. It is a Badlands Non-Sas. Thanks.

Some Es are more stiff than others. What PSI are you using?

PSI? I tried load range Es on our FJ cruiser and it road like a skate board. I was miserable, but too cheap to change them.

I will not repeat that mistake and I will only do C/D on the Bronco, I do think the Bronco weighs about 1200lbs more than the FJ though. My F250 kitted out for work is 8500lbs with a 50/50 weight distribution rides rough. I usually am running 62-65 psi in that

Maybe not 32psi but try not to run higher than 36psi when warm. The last set of G2's I had on my F150 were great, rotated every 5k and got well over 60k miles out of them.

I run 37" D rated Cooper SST Pro's on my Bronco and those things are stiff. I try to keep those at 32psi when warm. I can air those down to 15psi and you can barely tell, hardly no noticeable squish to them.

I have been running 40 psi. I wasn't comfortable any less. 32psi? Seems really low but at this point, it is give it a shot or shell out $1500 for new rubber...
I got new Nittos and they are very rough. Dropped to 36/35 and they are still rough but are wearing evenly (chalk test). Also went from 18.5 ish MPG to 17 MPG ;-(

Read how to do a chalk test. This will help determine how much PSI you actually need. The placard in the Bronco showing tire PSI does not know you have different tires.

We run 29 front cold PSI, 28 rear cold PSI and our tires tread is touching the road perfectly.

40psi is really high. When your tires warms up, I bet you are hitting 42-43 psi actual.
I was running 45/46 when warmed up, and that is in winter! When I aired down, you could feel the warm air escaping the valve.

I've been battling this with our 16 inch E tires on our Tacoma, play with the PSI for sure. I dropped from 38 to 36 to 34 to 33 and now it finally feels better but I still get those hard hits on sharp bumps. 32 might be low for 4dr Bronco but I would give it a try.
