I’m trying to decide between the ss3 pro or max in amber. Does anyone have experience with both and what are your thoughts? Mainly for on road use.

That is insane, basically the same set up I would have. Has anyone ever flashed you because of brightness? I’m leaning towards the max because of the better cut off.I’ve got the SS3 Pro SAE Fogs and SS2 sport SAE fogs. One of each in each pocket. They are crazy bright. Ran part of a drive back from SC to TN with just my fogs on, they’re that bright

Ok thank you for the reply. Do you have the fog pocket kit with the two ss3 and four ssc2 pro’s? And if so do you think they are pretty good? I’m assuming so.The a single set of the SSC2 Pros are brighter than my high beams. The SS3 much more so.
The Pro is a big jump over the standard, but the Max didn't seem like it was that much more for the money on paper. That said, I haven't seen one in person to compare it to.
Running a triple pod Pro setup in my Mod bumper it makes the standard headlamps cry for mercy.
I’ve only had a couple people flash me. I’ve been past tons of police too and never been stopped. I think since they’re amber they’re a bit easier on your eyes and isn’t as harsh as whiteThat is insane, basically the same set up I would have. Has anyone ever flashed you because of brightness? Yes, and I'm happy with them. I run a set of SSC2 amber fog SAEs as my fog lights full time, aimed so they are street legal. I have Combo SSC2 and a Driving SS3 in white, I only use those off road - aimed slightly higher and outward than street legal for off road use.Ok thank you for the reply. Max are very bright. The Pros are the "Sweet Spot" in terms of what you get for your $$. But if you have money to burn, ya can't go wrong with the Max.I’m trying to decide between the ss3 pro or max in amber. Does anyone have experience with both and what are your thoughts? Mainly for on road use.

If you were to purchase a again would you take the squadreI had the SS3 Max amber and clear both in the fog light position on my '21 Ram 2500. They were incredibly bright even though SAE. I had to adjust the angle of them well beneath what spec says is allowed on-road because of how many other motorists they pissed off.
I would just go with the SS3 Pro and call it a day, or be willing to relegate the Max versions to use when no other motorists are around.
FWIW, I went with the Baja Designs Squadron SAE amber and clear in my Bronco. No such problems and plenty of light for their intended purposes.

Eh... I am happy enough with the Squadron SAE that I'll probably stay with it, but if I were truly buying again I'd probably do the DD SS3 SAE Pro because they put out more light. One pair in white light and the other in true amber (yellow LED with yellow lens).if you were to purchase again would the take the squadron over the ss3?
