They're like TVs, you need to make sure to measure from the diagonal, not the horizontal or vertical.

😝
He actually post a picture doing it. Perhaps OP missed the sarcastic part of this comment.

According to that pineapple, that's a 33's tire.

Clearly not 32, somewhere between 33.5 and 34 with weight on them.

I've been telling anyone that would pay attention that listed measurements are bogus. Even the width of the wheel affects the height.

Tires rarely measure true to size. Excluding some of the Nittos or Kendas they’re all smaller than claimed. Plus these are 315’s so not true 35s. Yes, 315’s are commonly referred to as 35s. I understand your surprise, drives me crazy.

BFG for example is pretty crazy, don’t take my word for it google “actual tire size” and see what you find. I think the “37’s” testing on the Warthog don’t even measure to 35’s.

I’m on my second set of kenda klever rt kr601 tires, this time 35x12.5x17, and they run pretty true to size.

Tire sizes round up from 0.1, so a 34.1 inch tire is a 35. This is normal. Not accurate, but normal.
Take the spare off and put a flat edge across it and measure. It will be 34+.

Neither of your pictures supports your 32inch claim.🤷‍♂️
17 inches center hub on spare is easily 34.
What would taking an unloaded, swing gate mountes spare tire off the truck and laying it down do for measurements?? Lol

Hey OP, take measurements on a tire is not that easy but the easiest way to do it is taking a tailor tape measure and look for the circumference of the tire and then divide that by Pi number.

That will give you a better understanding of your real diameter that in this case it should close to 35's.

Cause he can’t hold the tape measure and read it.
He needs to take it off, lean it against a wall, and mark it with a straight edge like measuring a kid. Not my fault he can’t measure it as is. His picture even shows it’s 34+ and he can’t read that. Im just telling him a foolproof method that surely he can do. 🤷‍♂️

315/70/17
Let's do the math....
70% of 315 is 220.5mm. This is your sidewall.
220.5mm is 8.8 inches.
8.8" X 2 is 17.6"
Add to this the rim size of 17" is
34.6"
Therefore 35" tire.

Inane ? Sorry dude, dont have the need to inflate measurements for my ego, so this is totally mind boggling to me.
