Father In Law owns a large snap-on franchise he has had for over 40yrs. I have a couple of snap-on tools but I can borrow his...literally everything you can imagine...even old still working no longer made items.

A decent trq wrench...one for ft lbs and another in in.

pickle fork or puller tool

air or electric impact and ratchet

test light, short finder, and multi meter.

I learned a lot helping my father. My first lesson was "hold the light so I can see not you."

Ok, that’s a new one. What’s a hot wrench?
A torch, If you've never lived up North you wouldn't understand, LOL.

We don't 'take" exhaust systems off, we cut them off.

There are a lot of great ideas here. Unless you have an unlimited budget, though, start out with the basics, then research and buy the RIGHT tools prior to the next project. You will eventually have everything you need.

For example of the right tools: When it's midnight and you need the job done by morning, A good puller on-hand will prevent the temptation of beating on valuable parts with a hammer or deforming them with a prybar (or screwdriver lol). Ask my teenage self how I know.

As far as basics go, I would add a sturdy bench and vise. That second hand (vise) really helps, and can avoid damage that might occur when monkeying with high torques & unstable parts (stripped nuts, busted hands, etccc).
