My plan to combat winter is to park the Bronco until Spring. Lol! I have three other 4X4's, one of them being my daily driver XJ for almost 20 years now. Sand, salt, and brine have taken their toll on it over the two decades I've been driving it, and a few months ago the front passenger side shock mount rusted off the axle -- now my loose shock almost drags the highway hanging down. Lol! Better it than my Bronco rotting out.

I live in Georgia, so someone needs to explain this winter concept a little better.
It looks like this :)

Notice, at the end of the video, the crap that builds up by the wheels, doors, door knobs. Then imagine that crap filled with all the chemicals mentioned by previous posters.

Live in SW Florida now, but in years past lived in Fairbanks Alaska. Winter there has to be experienced to be fully appreciated. My Bronco winter prep is to make sure the AC is not left in too cold a position.

My winter vehicle prep is to take an ice scraper off a garage shelf and put it behind the driver’s seat. Oh crap I need to buy an ice scraper for the new Bronco….

My Bronco got a WoolWax undercoating treatment to protect against those nasty road chemicals that rot our vehicles here in CT. WoolWax is made by the same company that makes FluidFilm. However, it is thicker and has no odor. I was surprised to hear that Dodge will void your warranty if you apply any undercoating. To those of you living in northern climates: How do you prep your Bronco for winter weather?

I always have Ziebart put on my vehicles. Been using it for over 30 yrs. No issues. Helps keep them looking good. Keeps a nice black look on the frame and wheel wells. Take it back in every other year and they pressure wash to clean and respray the under carriage.

I’m truly baffled here. I would expect a factory Bronco to be able to withstand winter with no additional concerns.
Sure, try to rinse off salt when possible, but beyond that…it’s a truck, with a rust warranty.
Good luck with that rust warranty. Ford's rust warranty is 5 years and only covers large rust holes that you can prove were caused by a manufacturing defect. I have a 2005 Mustang that has always been garage kept, never been driven when there was any salt on the roads, and has only ever been rained on a couple times. Yet Ford would not cover the hood corrosion that is so obviously a manufacturing defect, and yes I brought it to them within the warranty period.

Living in the Chicago burbs I've often considered underbody coatings. I've searched and searched and searched for some kind of actual study on the effectiveness of these underbody coatings but haven't been able to find anything convincing enough to get me to pay for the service. I want to see what a vehicle that has been half coated looks like after 10 years.

Truck frames rust out big time here in the Northeast. Since we keep our vehicles until they die, the undercoating is preventative maintenance which will hopefully lead to vehicle longevity!
Well said without the additional protection here in the northeast ( I am in Vermont)it will be rusting in no time, to include brake lines.
