How Do You Prep Your Bronco for Winter Weather?

I just exchange summer tire air for winter air, and keep on driving. Have not Ziebarted since 1979 (Actually Rusty Jones) have yet to have a vehicle rust out.

Yes, I do prepare for winter. Here in Southern California, it sometimes drops to the high 40s. I had to turn the temperature dial from blue to red. Sheesh, that took it all out of me. Must go rest now.

I have used Fluid Film on all my trucks , and now the Bronco. Driving through salt water on the roads really destroys frames quickly.

Nah, oil pans are not something that commonly rusts.

There is a Starke difference between areas get snow that is so cold and persistent that they don’t treat and those areas that try like hell to make the white stuff vaporize with a chemical cocktail. It’s a fine line of the US that douses the roads like crazy since those people are unfamiliar with driving on snow. Move far enough North and it’s a part of life to drive on it. Here in Maryland they love that brine cocktail days before and chuck rock salt at you doing 60MPH while it’s coming down. It’s been known to take a windshield or two in addition to the undercarriage.

I simply find a carwash that sprays the underside and after every time they spray the roads with that stuff I drive through the car wash to spray that stuff off. Always thought of checking into a steam clean on the underside after winter if it looks bad. but Ive never checked that out.

what's the issue with warranty? Was thinking of going to Krown in my area to have it sprayed, but need more info if that's an issue with warranty

Install soft top . . . learn to take doors off. Cry when it turns out summer is on the way.
