How to get "half cab" look on 2 door Bronco using a DIY crossbar

Cool! How secure are the panels if this crossbar is not used? I feel like I’ve seen other 2 doors running just the front panels without any mods and don’t remember hearing anything about them needing additional support

I run mine like this quite often. Freeway speeds with no issues. The crossbar is definitely not necessary, but does add "peace of mind".

I could see that working well considering those rubber bumpers will help hold it in place. I don’t have a short piece on hand, so please report back if you try it out!

I finally got around to trying just a short piece of 1" square tube to "tie" the two tops together.

The 1" was a little small for the gap. So, punched some disks out of a black tennis ball and attached them to the bar. It actually worked out really well, with the piece in place the tops feel really solid. Thanks for posting your idea!
