I bought a keyless entry pad for my Base Bronco. I thought the manual should tell me how to program the pad to the Bronco, but only saw what follows that step: adding personal 5 digit code. Please help me of you know how to link the pad to the Bronco. Thaks a lot!

You need to take it to the dealer for them to pair it to the Bronco.
sucks but apparently it’s the only way.

It has to be programmed in FDRS (Ford Diagnostic and Repair System).

To use it, you'll need to buy a support J2534/VCM II/VCM III USB dongle that is approved for use by FDRS (several hundred dollars to a few thousand, depending on the dongle), and you will need to buy a license for the software. Licenses range from $50 for a 2-day license to $900 for a yearly license.

OR, as @Burgler2112 mentioned, pay your dealer to program it for you. Takes all of 5 minutes.

Thanks for digging it up. I knew he did a write up that is why I tagged him.
Lol no problem, I was trying to dig it up as well but the search function on this forum software is absolutely horrific so I didn't include it in my first post. To my surprise, found it shortly after I posted.

Why not just have the dealer take care of it? That's what I would do if I were in your position. I very much like the keypad that Ford installed at the factory. I guess someday the battery will die and I'll have to get another one, then I'll be going through the same issue.

Dealer technician needs to program it. I don't know why but I guess that's the only way to do it.
