I think it resets automatically and works normally when you drive it for a few minutes. That’s what happens when you change tires and replace one of the driven 4 with the spare, which also has a TPMS. It just has to rotate a bit to activate.

Yup. When I aired down my tires after delivery it corrected it after driving for a short distance.

is there any reason TPMS does not detect when my tire starts running flat?

Could it be it needs time to get adjusted for couple miles before it gets corrected and detects?

It should detect it. I’m not sure at what PSI it triggers the warning at. A small loss in air pressure won’t trigger it, that’s for sure.

Could be a faulty sensor potentially.

Edit: Google says the TPMS sensor will illuminate on a vehicle when the PSI drops by 25% or more of the manufacturers recommended tire pressure.

If you just changed wheels with new sensors and did not drive it yet then no, it will not detect it from what I understand is the TPMS goes to sleep when not in use. You have to drive a few miles to "wake up" the sensor".

When I go from my snow wheel set to my road wheel set on my Subaru I always have to have the tire shop reset and sync the tpMS. So I’d imagine it would be the same on Bronco.

Driving the car without the tpms reset does not work in my experience.

I picked up a nail on the Highway the other day, the slow leak triggered low pressure I think at 30PSI. Also, spare does have a TPSM installed. It registered a couple miles down the road after I changed the tires.

So you're saying your tire went flat and the TPMS never went off?

If that is the case then you have a bad sensor and need to have the dealer replace it.

I haven't been able to check personally, but I believe the Bronco will display your tire pressure of all four tires. What does it say?

Personally, I’d prefer to turn off TPMS….I hate it!

Mine took a solid day to show back up when I put the spare on.

I did rotate my tire at discount tire, does it mean I have to reset the tpms?

Is there any instruction how to reset TPMS?

None of the 4 ford vehicles that I've had over the past 6 years have required you to reset the TPMS system. They are proximity located by the vehicle's computer and sensors, so the car will know which tire is which after rotation. As mentioned above, it usually takes a mile or so of driving for the sensors to wake up and for the computer to read the latest tire pressure and tire locations.

Is there any quick way to test if TPMS is getting update not to the old tire that got rotated to spare?

Ok so just had new apex valve stems put in and tires rotated but when I played with the apex and delayed a tire, I noticed the wrong one on the display shows to lose air. Was deflating the rear, display showed the front. Only drove 3-4 miles from the shop. The pressures are reading but not the right location. So we’re saying the computer should eventually detect it and reset the location?
