I have the v2 steps and have no issues with rust in SW Florida where it’s humid AF all the time and I live 5 miles from the beach

When did you order yours?
They are likely one of the first batches, I got them before I got the bronco and had them installed at the dealer with the rock rails.

last year I wasn’t around for much of the white stuff but this last month we got hit pretty good 30 or so inches I didn’t notice the rust till it warmed up this weekend, kinda disappointing they look like shit on an otherwise newish vehicle. I’ll wire brush them and paint them black again see how that holds up

Sorry to hear that. I’m sure they’ll look good as new(ish) once you do that. 🙂 I was wondering if yours were from a batch that came prior to them addressing their powder coat issues. Sounds like that’s the case. I ordered mine Thanksgiving, so I’m hoping mine hold up well. We shall see! They get delivered Tuesday.

Bummer, was thinking about picking up a set of these for my 2 door Black Diamond.
They take around four weeks to ship. My husband ordered mine on Thanksgiving for my Christmas present, and they were supposed to be delivered Friday but the UPS driver that day claimed he was “unable to deliver.” 😏

It sounds like they’ve fixed the issue with them rusting with their newest steps. Hoping that’s true! I’ll update y’all as time passes.. 🙂

Our apologies. It looks like our customer service team responded to you this morning. We were closed for the holidays so we have been playing a bit of catch-up on that side of things.

In the same boat here. Started with some very minor rusting on the underside. Getting sandblasted on 15,000kms of gravel might do that, despite mudflaps… although the OEM rock rails have no issues with their coating. Regardless, it’s understandable. Being north of the border just leads to way more shipping/duty/taxes on my end for a subpar job and it wasn’t worth sending them back for a respray. Fast forward to now where the top plate is basically coming bare… as if the prep was bad and powder didn’t stick… idk @IAG Performance. What’s even worse is that the passenger side (which rarely gets used) top plate started flaking first. Maybe it’s the cold causing dissimilar material shrinkage. Maybe it’s Maybelline.

I can tell based on your picture that these were from before we changed our powder coating process. Even with the original process a small percentage based on the total quantity shipped and delivered experienced failures in the powder coating of this magnitude. While 15,000 km of getting sandblasted is definitely going to affect them, this is on the extreme end. While I understand you are north of the border, we still would like to try to make this right for you because, at the end of the day, we stand behind what we produce. Please reach out to [email protected] and we can work together to come to an amicable solution for everyone.

We put ours on after thanksgiving and have had no issues. They are a stop-gap until our Magnums are built, but they have performed well and I won't feel shady selling them once the full steps come.

I can say that IAG is well aware of the coating issue with some of the steps.
Their customer support is excellent!
Contact them and let their support team handle it.
Probably the best company I've ever dealt with in resolving an issue!

Just observed some of this. I’m a pre-order from first batch. Live in chicago, garage kept. Had two weeks of minor snow but roads were wet and salty. Just noticed this today. I’ll reach out to IAG support. After reading this thread, I’m happy I chose the IAG’s as i feel assured support is working on it and will take care of it :)

I also have major rust and fading issues after 5 months. I have sent a few emails to IAG and am waiting to hear back.
