No, I see them here in NorCal. It just depends on the dealer. Is this an East-coast thing? I really don't see this in California.
Make them remove the stuff and clean it. No reason you should have to.Always the first thing I do is remove their badges.
Wow, hope this trend doesnt expand down south. I worked at a few dealers and is has just been the frames....along with the etched glass and theft prevention that you didnt ask for either. No, I see them here in NorCal. It just depends on the dealer.
I have in the past, recommended dealers to others, and my family , and have made 2nd purchases from that dealer/sales rep. when they go above and beyond. Especially on special orders, etc. I even come back and refer their service center as well if they're that good. It's not worth it to ruin the paint in my opinion. Plates are fine, stickers should be abolished.I told @Zach@Granger that I would be happy to support Granger with a sticker and even a banner. First time I have ever done that with a dealer. Granger has been so supportive during this whole ordering process and providing great deals. They deserve the recognition on my fine ride.
I am usually the guy ensuring that a dealer removes that stuff before I drive off the lot. No free advertising!
I remember seeing it a fair bit in SoCal in the 80's. It started dying out in the late 90's though.Wow, hope this trend doesnt expand down south. I worked at a few dealers and is has just been the frames....along with the etched glass and theft prevention that you didnt ask for either.
I always ask for it to be taken off, or take it off myself. No free advertising here.
WHYYYYYYY!!?? Just use the plate for fck sake.
Definitely using that lineAt least dealers stopped *riveting* their badging onto cars a couple decades back.
But yeah, that badging being even seen on the car during purchase is usually met with a "ok, I'll need $1000 off the price right now. that's my advertising fee for having your shit all over my car"
We're going to pay for the Polk data on New Bronco sales and sent out Granger Windshield banners, license plate frames, and dealer stickers to all Broncos registered in the continental United States.
