We have to run premium fuel anyways if we want to follow manufacturers recommendations.Just remember, with these tunes you're supposed to run premium fuel IOT get the full benefits of the tune and promote longevity.
If you read more on the ranger one, it says 91 octane only, and towing not recommended - both things to know. No, doesn't void warranty. it's made and approved by Ford. If Bronco tune yields equivalent to their Ford Ranger option, it would nudge HP from 270 to 315HP and 380 lb-ft torque. (almost equivalent to the 2.7L specs but half the price/)
Here's the official specs from Ford on the Ranger Performance Tune option.
Ford Performance calibration for 2019-2020 Ranger EcoBoost. The Ford Performance engineered performance calibration is a 50 state legal calibration for your 2019-2020 Ford Ranger that increases power and improves drive-ability throughout the rpm range.
- 50 state legal - C.A.R.B. EO#: D-752-12
- Ford Performance engineered and dyno tested
- Improved drive-ability and throttle response throughout RPM range
- Optimized shift schedule
- Horsepower gain: 45 HP @ 4,500 RPM
- Torque gain: 60 lb/ft @ 2,500 RPM
- For U.S. and Canadian vehicles
- Comes with Ford Performance 3yr/36k mile warranty from new vehicle in-service when installed by a Ford dealer or ASE/Red Seal certified technician
Why do you say this?We have to run premium fuel anyways
Huh. Really? We have to run premium fuel anyways
Not really. The manual for every Ford vehicle I've ever owned "recommended" 87. All V6s. I expect Bronco to the be the same.We have to run premium fuel anyways

Sounds like you all need to do your homework. 87 is the minimum requirement, 91+ is recommended. Not really. The manual for every Ford vehicle I've ever owned "recommended" 87. All V6s. I expect Bronco to the be the same.
If you want to run premium fuel, that's your prerogative but you said it was required. Being the minimum requirement is a far cry from what you stated in your initial post about HAVING to run premium fuel without a tune.Sounds like you all need to do your homework. 87 is the minimum requirement, 91+ is recommended.
This is kind of like one of those instances where your teacher says you have to do a minimum 5 page essay but 7+ is recommended. Everyone in the class knows that means she wants you to do 7+ pages but there’s always that one guy that does 5 pages, double spaced, with the largest font he can. He also gets a D. If you want to drive your 50K car with the minimum spec gas and have lower power, that’s your prerogative. If you want to run premium fuel, that's your prerogative but you said it was required. Last time I checked 87 is Regular.Sounds like you all need to do your homework. 87 is the minimum requirement, 91+ is recommended.

Not if they recommend staying away from 87 octane with the tune. For the stock tune they want something that will work with the lower grade. If it's approved in all 50 states and "improves drivability", you think it would just come standard lol
