Is it expected that the metal brackets are thin enough to not interfere with the hard top? Because the tops do not fit as snug as without the brackets (obviously) and I can see daylight with everything installed....

Slide the brackets around and tighten well. It will fit snugly. There was an issue ford had with 22 and early 23 models where the top did not fit correctly. It does not affect every model. Also hey had an issue with the weather stripping being under sized.
A little adjusting should work fine.

So I'll need to buy another JTops Bimini top. Bought a TOR hardtop so removed the Jtops for the softtop. Had to remove the top for a few days and man I miss the shade with open air feel. One thing I can say with certainty... the adhesive promoter is the real deal. While the hard top was off, I decided to remove the velcro that had been on for awhile. The velcro itself came off with some pretty good tugs, but took a few days getting all the adhesive off. No issue to the paint at all. Great job all around. @JTopsUSA I'm assuming the hardtop version will work with an aftermarket hardtop that uses the OEM hardware contact points?
