When not hooked up directly to the battery. The amp could clip at high volumes.

I am confused what this is. I upgraded all my speakers to kickers, I have a 12” subwoofer in the back hooked into a 1000w kicker amp and have upgraded the harness. I still would like to get more power out of my head unit. IS this what that is for?

Yes, it’s a small amplifier to amplify your interior speakers, but if you did a 12 inch subwoofer with 1000 W kicker amp, the kicker key is too small of an amplifier to drive your interior speakers with that much bass you need to use my musway four channel amplifier to balance out that system

Back in June, I purchased KIT 11-1 KICKER KEY 180/200,4 HARNESS ONLY.
Can I just unwrap the harness, snip the power and ground wires and run them directly?
No clue what I'm doing, so want to be certain it might be as easy as that.

I've noticed this exact scenario, usually at about 18+ even with the gains turned all the way to zero. would be nice if the fix was as easy as that

What you need to understand and this is a common misunderstanding by everyone is that the gain adjustment is not a volume knob it’s to adjust input sensitivity when using high-level input ( factory radio ) you’re already getting a strong signal 6-8 volts as opposed to using RCA‘s 2-4 volts from an aftermarket radio . the amp puts out the same amount of power whether the gains are off or all the way up . So when you’re already getting a strong signal when you turn the gains up, you just freaking out the amplifier and start introducing noise, static, and other issues into it. . Gain should be at best a hair up from off .

Hot damn! thanks!

ordered.
I'm very interested in this as well. When you receive yours and get it wired-up direct to the battery, please share your results. I'm clipping around the 13-16 mark depending on the song. Thank you.
