You can't go wrong with a 265/75 x 16 (32") Cooper Discoverer, BFG KO2, or Falken Wildpeak. 32's should fit fine as the are stock on BB and BD with the same suspension and wheel offset. The Coopers are available in 255/85 x 16 (33"), which are the same width as a stock base but 3" taller so there may be clearance issues. Speedo error would be 6% with the 32's and 10% with the 33's, there is debate whether this is fixable with programing.
Thank you!

Largest meaning what? Widest, tallest or? Stock wheels I assume? 255/85/16s are most likely tallest on the stock rim. Best performing will be based on your use and not mine, so just research the tires available in the size you want. I tend to prefer American made tires these days and tend to shy away from Chinese or similar made, but plenty of choices out there.
Thank you for the information!

Thank you!
Sure, and I always search by size and see what is available in the size I want, then pick your preferred tread pattern and manufacturer. No sense looking at a tire you can't get in the size you want. And I just mentioned the ones I did 'cause I know they are available in the sizes I mentioned. Nothing but SFA vs IFS can rouse so strong of opinions as tire selection!.

Recommendations please- to upgrade, what are the largest / best performing A/T tires that will fit the base model rims? Any recommendations?
Iā€™m a Nitto convert(donā€™t shoot me B6G:)) Still love BFGā€™s but had Terra Grapplers on old F150 and now Ridge Grapplers on SD. Terra is typical A/T tread design. Ridge is considered ā€œhybridā€ and more aggressive with bigger shoulder blocks.

Iā€™ve been happy with the look and performance. Good luck!

Soooo ya think those are in the aggressive tread category??

Had a pair of Thornbirds on my ā€˜94 Wrangler. Torched hubs within a year. Didnā€™t learn lesson and put TSLā€™s on ā€˜98 Dodge Ram and weā€™re Impossible to keep balanced.

Sorry Super Swamper...Iā€™m now old and out:)
Youā€™ve got to run beads in those tires.

Many seem to like the Nitto Ridge Grappler and comes in sizes up to 295/75/16 which is a 33.4x11.6. There's a more pedestrian 285/70/16 or 75 aspect ratio I think too which is around a 32.7 ish I think.

The "safe to mount" size was listed as 7-11".
Most 285s require at least 7.5 but Iā€™d still rather not be at minimum when aired down.

I have Falkens on both of mine -at3wā€™s on the truck and mtā€™s on the Jeep. Really like both and are a good match for how I use each. OPs plan seems pretty much mixed everyday driving so the wildpeak ats are perfect for that.
