That '66 needs to be de rusted, painted, upholstered and otherwise unmolested. There are plenty of cut, jacked EB's for those who want that.

On BaT, there is no telling! Around here I'd think that one could be had for less than $17k and it'd be a great cruiser to leave mostly as-is. If you're wanting to modify one, I'd start with something that's already headed that direction (that's been cut, has power brakes/steering, D44 front axle, etc.)

My Response: Embrace the Patina Look!
Looks like a nice, old, warn-in catcher's mitt to me.

There is a '66 1/2 cab in my town that has faded down to variations of the half dozen colors it has been painted. If I had it I'd clear coat it and call it good!

Bring a Trailer pricing can be all over the map. Someday I dream of putting $20K aside and then striking gold for the right vehicle at the right price.

A vehicle like that, you want to keep it as is. I would fix the seats and figure out if there are any structural rust issues... I would assume I would have to put at least $5K in it to make it worthy of "occasional cruising".

That looks awesome!

I have to remember to put my blue yard tarp under my classic when I buy one.
Will need to get a new one as I accidentally chain sawed through the one I had, while trying to cut through a woodpile.

What you think the bidding will get up to on that vintage one?
If it is under $17K, you may be right.
My guess is ~$25k+. I've seen it listed here on FB for $30k+ and it's been sitting for awhile. EB prices on BAT are bonkers now.. just look at the histograph over the last 3-4yrs.

I agree, try to leave it as is, cut out the rust and keep it running. Otherwise you'll end up exceeding the price of a loaded FE :)
