Are we expected to complete our orders without mpg numbers?

Engine type, trim, 2/4 doors & tire size will affect mpg.

I heard that going 35's on a stock Rubicon cuts its mpg between 25 and 30%.
Maybe that will finally make me give up on the sasquatch that I plan to take off road once a year. ?

I'm in the same boat, man ... this is gonna be a daily driver for me - about 45 miles a day. I might get it Off-road a handful of times a year.. as much as I LOVE the looks of the 35's - it sounds like it's a significant impact to MPG... so I think I'll stick with the Badlands and the stock 33" tires, and save some money in the process to put towards upgrading the factory stereo

Keep in mind that the speedometer is off as well so you are traveling more miles than what it says.....I put 35s on my rubi. I think it dropped from 20 to 18 ish....so about 10 percent. Between 33s and 35s you are doing about 6 percent more miles.....so a 4 percent decrease ish... Its not anywhere near that bad.

Disclaimer....JL with the 2.0 and 8 speed.

Can't expect great mpg when driving a toaster on wheels.

My JK on 33s averages 14/15 in the summer and 11/12 in the winter. BEST I ever got was 18 and she was 3 months old on a 300 mile cruise through the Adirondacks with a bunch of other Jeeps most built to the hills but under geared so we never went over 55mph.

My biggest cut into mileage was replacing the front bumper and losing the air dam under the stocker.

And remember, that Ford is pairing the 35's with the appropriate gearing which is not what happens on a Rubi when the owner tosses on 35's (or am I wrong?)

There was a You tube out there where I guy did a non-official test and after he went larger tires AND gears on his Gladiator, he actually got better MPG.

With the matched gearing directly from Ford I'd expect roughly the same MPG . I don't believe that will be a major concern like someone slapping larger tires on a stock vehicle .

Thank you for posting this to limit panic.

I agree with the OP though. If for some reason a sasquatch V6 gets like 12 mpg or something rediculous that's something buyers need to know.

I expect the 2.3 to get Ranger numbers and the 2.7 to get F-150 numbers.

So around 20 to 21 mpg.......I'm at 21.3 average for my ranger with the 2.3 over 22k miles. My buddy with his 2.7 and f150 around just over 20.....

F-150 weighs about 4,600 pounds on average and it isn't the most aeroynamic with a bed on the back and the 2.7 gets in the 20s. I got 17 around town in my 3.5 EB.

I can speak from experience, that taking a stock height Rubicon on 32"s and lifting it 3" and putting on 35"s cut my MPGs by > 25%. If i remember correctly, the lift had a larger impact on highway mileage than the tires.

Goodness gracious folks, this horse has been beat to death so much that now it's just a pile of meat and bone chunks that have been sitting in the hot sun so long that even the opossums won't come near it! The MPG difference between 33s and 35s will be in the ballpark of 1-2 MPGs, tops 5, but probably not 25-30 percent. Running 35s on my 3.5 Ecoboost F150 (with a 93 tune), I get around 17-18.5 on the highway and that's in the Ozarks where we have plenty of hills. On the flat ground, I can get a little over 20 MPG. Right now my average for over 5k miles is around 18.1 MPG and I have 173k miles on the dang thing. If you can't keep your foot out of it, your MPG will be trash. If you drive like you have some sense, you will do just fine lol.
