Never tracked MPG with OEM 18”.
Swapped tires within first 100m.
It is a brick but have seen claims of 19-20mpg with SAS pkg. Figuring factory SAS tires are more highway tread than Rubitreks.

Economy not priority was just hoping for more than 15.5
Thats your problem, you believed the nonsense.

Do any of you have a base bare bones 2 door with manual transmission with the stock wheels and tires that you can share MPG? I once saw a post of someone getting 30 or 31 MPG. I thought about getting one as my daily commuter.

I have a big bend 2 Door with a 2.3 and 10 speed. I can average 18-20 easily without trying. I've gotten a bit better when its not cold out. I do about 75% highway though. I doubt very much close to 30 is possible unless there is some crazy hyper mile action going on. lol When is super windy mu mileage drops to shit however.

Don't worry about mpg until after 1000 miles of break in. Winter gas definitely knocks down mpg in the 1-2 mpg range. OP, are you calculating actual mpg based on miles and gallons of gas put in or are you looking at the computer's mpg estimate? I went with heavier tires on my base Sas 2.7 auto and still average 17.5 mpg running normal mode 99% of the time so I don't think the weight is an issue. Stop and go traffic really hurts the mpg and highway over 70 hurts as well, and if you ever tow something that knocks it down pretty good too.

25 is doable with the right tires and under 60 MPH.

Good information. Thanks. Looking at vehicle computer. Haven’t hand calculated yet.

In my opinion, it is your gearing with the heavier tires and rims.

2024 OBX non SAS. 3.73 ratio.

Swapped tires to 285/70R17 Falken Rubitrek on OEM 17” steel.
629 rev 18 OEM off and 632 rev 17’s on.
As close as I could get to 629 trying to keep speedo within 1 mph.

550 miles ..15.8mpg max via
highway with cruise set.
15.4 around town.
Tires dropping mpg down?

Was hoping for 17mpg minimum if
not 19-20. Specific break in period?
Cruise control kills all MPG from everything I've experienced.

I run 35"x12.5 Tires on my 2.7 SAS and can get 18-19 mpg on the highway with sport mode on. I never touch cruise if I'm being gas conscious. If i'm being lazy-GO CRUISE!

Man...maybe I have a unicorn but I get 18.5-19 consistently. Mix of interstate and city. I can post the gauges for any naysayers. I do run 93 octane in my 2.7 with factory tires.
