Let's not forget that the problem was down to faulty valves put in to engines from certain dates. I'm pretty sure all those engines have been installed by now. Having worked in manufacturing/assembly, when a client says to the manufacturing company that there's a problem, you can bet that the manufacturing company will do a better job making said product. Chances of any new Broncos getting an engine from that batch, very small. Chances of that company making bad valves again, also very small. Chances that 2.7 engines will continue having valve issues outside that batch in a regular basis, very very small. Since there will ALWAYS be engines that fail from any company and any manufacture, chances the somebody will complain and blow it out of proportion? Very very high.
And before people start squawking about the MIC tops, there was a change, and it did get better, how much better is in the eye of the beholder and you can't tell somebody what their experience with a product is. Well you could try, but it's the individual's experience, not the group. Same with the engine.
