Buying at Walnut Creek Ford, they will give me x-rrice and asked for no extra deposit, so far pretty happy with them, but I've also only spoken to the sales guy twice, once when they put in my order and once when I went to see the two Broncos traveling the West Coast. Mt Tam will definitely be one of my first destinations! First day drive will be up Mt Diablo unless it's raining or snowing, LOL. Who knows when I'll get my ride.

As for the other part, nobody can predict the future, you just never know. Just read about two brothers who with their family invested some 8k in I think February in one of these odd Meme Coins, now worth 9 million, LOL. My basically 19 year old Taco trade in value is supposedly 9-12k, so open market sales probably could get half of what I paid for it 19 years ago, crazy. Cars are not an investment, personally I doubt there will be any 2021 Broncos still drivable 50 years from now with all the computer stuff in them. Not that I'll care, as I doubt I'll still be around by then, haha!

Hope you get your soft top soon, the wiring can be dealt with later if you ever want to add a hard top.
They are giving you the xplan price? Early reservations at my dealership are getting a discount but I'm getting MSRP. You are lucky, when did you convert your order? I reserved august 5 and converted my res in Feb. I wish I was getting a better deal but its much better than those in Hawaii and other places.

Thank you! Hopefully my mom has his social somewhere, she's 95 so we shall see. He joined the Marines at 17 and spent a couple years fighting in Korea. He was shot and injured with shrapnel, got two Purple Hearts. Sadly we lost him at 74, he was the best human being I've every known. Thanks for the reminder.
Wow, on your father. Sorry for your loss. I would definitely thank him for his service if he were here. I think TXNavy is correct. Good Luck!

Right? I was thinking the exact same thing. And then there’s still that issue of having to talk my husband into the Bronco. I got my fast car a month ago so I may be screwed on this one. He does t get the off reading/truck thing. He’s from the UK so besides that he can’t throw a ball for the life of him, but he kicks my a$$ at every other sport. How do y’all convince your partners?
Convincing partner was easy. We use a Land Rover for off reading which has been an excellent choice...but a Land Rover in remote areas of North America doesn’t always sit well with locals. Land Rover needs replacement at 200,000 miles and looking for a tough, go away where, North AMerican made replacement. Bronco is it. Partner agrees.

Now, if we can only get one built..

awwww you have a 335is, sweet ride. I just bought a '18 m240i and we have a 435i. The baby bmw is fast as all get out at 5000 rpm up, frightening really. Locals and Land Rovers, fuk em, its your ride not theirs. Yeah, I have no more f's to give these days.

I just wish Ford would let us know what interest rates they will be offering on a purchase. If low enough I will go that route. I put 20K down on my used BMW that was 35K plus tax. Paying it off in two years with a stinging monthly but better that than 6 years. Bronco would be a 5 year loan and I'll put around 15K down. All you guys paying cash 👏, our tax bill just ruined that one for me. But hey, I'm grateful I have a job and my husbands consulting gig has continued through Covid, so no complaints here.
I've already put down $1,200. I plan on trading in, or possibly private sale, my 2015 Cherokee. Its currently valued around $15K. It went up around $1,200 in value last month! I don't know how but I'll take it. Thanks KBB. Please #Ford tell us the interest rate! I wouldn't be so concerned about it if I didn't check all the boxes on the Bronco wish list 🤣

Oh yeah you really went for it! I stuck with the BD mid, still coming out at over 43K, most expensive vehicle I will have ever "bought" in my life. I usually buy cars a few years old, like my car I just bought which I love love love, but a totally different beast than the Bronco.

With today's interest rates below 3% for new vehicles, I want to put as little money down as possible with a term as long as possible. that's usually a 5 year loan. My money is easily making more than 3% YoY compounded monthly over the term of the loan even in a moderately risky portfolio. So I'm ahead long term. Not the case if you're putting 20-30k down. This assumes you have the money to begin with of course.

I leased a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sport on a 3yr 3mo/12k term. I knew that I was not going to be putting more miles on it, and likely to purchase it in the end. At the end of three years I had 18k miles on the odometer, which means I was paying for miles I was not using. Six months before the lease end I started receiving letters of reminder that the lease was going to come up, and I should do something. With the low interest rates from my credit union, the cash in my bank was going to be worth more than simply having the Jeep paid off. The reminders showed up more frequently, and when I inquired they told me the pay-off, which was exactly on program. I decided to wait until the last day of the lease and buy it. ... The day the lease came due, the bank writing the lease adjusted the residual DOWN from what was agreed, based on the current market value of the vehicle. My "buy" number was suddenly $2k less than what it would have if I would have purchased it prior to the end of the lease.

After a conversation with my dealer, I found out that it depends on the bank that underwrites the lease. (This was through US Bank.) They won't adjust the number to something greater, but can drop it to something less. If you tried to buy it before the end, they would tag you with the entire amount, as agreed. But, waiting until the end, they were looking at what they would likely get running it through an auction, based on "average" condition, and it was cheaper for them to reduce my number, than hassle with paying for the auction, etc.

So, I tell my story to help spread the knowledge I gained in that all leases are not created equal. USBank does that, where others will not. Ask questions when you go to lease, and do the homework. Ask questions of the finance person at the dealer, and do not blindly sign on to something.

Yeah, I really shouldn't but, well, yeah. I didn't get everything I wanted last time I bought a car so I kinda went for it. Same here as far as most expensive vehicle ever purchased. But It's not just a vehicle ones buying. It's a lifestyle 😅

You just got a BMW?

Uh, we have 3 but pretty sure I just sold one (‘14 X1). I was buying a ‘18 M2 but went for a ‘18 M240i instead. It’s got the tried and true B58 engine, it’s a rocket ship and cost me 10k less than the M2. Not great for my Malinois, hopefully he will love the Bronco. Wish the seats folded flat but we can’t have everything. The Sports back seats fold flat but that wasn’t enough to lure me away from a proper Bronco.
I love cars, always have, from my first car, a ‘65 Chevy Nova II to my little BMW, and soon to be Bronco. Got my obsession from my mom who always drove cool cars (except for the Pinto she had for a few months). 😂

1. What is your fast car?

2. My wife is already on board with me getting a Bronco in addition to getting/keeping my Mustang.

See, I'm what's called a "Trophy Husband".

I found that divorce has made that whole convincing my partner thing an non-issue. Now when I want something, I don't need to ask permission (actually, I didn't need to ask permission before but I would hear about that too). It's not like he is going to divorce you, unless he has less to lose than you do.
