what looks better, 2002 apple laptop? or a 2020 one? things have progressed a bit when it comes to manufacturing of materials and uv coatings, etc. how are the plastics holding up in your 2012 explorer? @Garbone

Lol. The MIC is so bad. I just can't believe Ford is shipping that. The only logical reason is to drive us to the $1900 upgraded black painted top.

The two bumpers are almost indistinguishable. How has Ford allowed this to make it to the public. In all of the meetings they've had, nobody spoke up and said this looks terrible?

I dont understand the top complaints at all. That new pic is basically a white top. Perfect. And 2nd its gonna spend most of its life in the yard as a dog house.

I think the point OP is trying to make is that it ALREADY looks like its 18 years old and sun bleached.

Black for the FJ yes, the Ranger is a mix of gray and black just like the Bronco is going to be.

Nice. But here in Chicagoland winters, sadly the rust never sleeps. My vehicle would have nothing left but plastic.

I had the same question. It makes me think it must have been one of the execs who suggested it. My guess is that he was probably wearing black shoes and a brown belt at the time.

Did the 303 protectant dye the bumpers black or did they start that way?
Because if MIC Gray is the “solution from Ford” I am praying it fades to white quickly!

I don't know the science behind it but it's not a dye, it's just allot better version of armor all.

I think we all need to wait and pass judgement on the top until we see a production ready version and at least some real life photos of it in wild but I'm with you, want white as well.
