The suspension is the same on Badlands, minus the stoppers. The tires would be about $500 more for the set. Those are beadlock ready rims...not that much more than the aluminum rims on the Badlands to begin with.

How is it still 50% of the cost of the upgrade on the other trims...when Badlands has all of the expensive things already, and a smaller difference between the tires and wheels in cost to begin with? That makes no sense.
Without judging the fairness of the price, those beadlocks are $1900 on a Raptor. So add $600 for a tire and fender upgrade, and technically 4.46 to 4.70 on the auto, and the price makes sense.

because OBX already has Mid as standard and the mid is 1500 to add to badlands. that is the diff between 3500 and 5000. the numbers are consistent.

the one i'm trying to figure out is the tops on the BL. soft top is standard on BL, molded carb grey is $700, but to get soft and molded carb grey it's $3700, that seems like a crazy amount. so i took a look at WT - wildtrak already has a modular hard top and it's $1200 to get dual with the soft top. Something is just not adding up to me. based on WT, the soft top costs 1200, to replace it on BL with molded carb grey is a 700 upgrade. to then add the soft top for dual tops should just be another 1200 like it is on WT for 1900 total. I must be missing something, but those dual tops on the BL seem to me to be about 2K overpriced.
@Studawg calculated the value of the tops to be $1500 for the soft top and $2200 for the MIC. I think that Ford messed up the pricing for the two top option. They forgot to deduct the value of the soft top. They applied the value of the soft top against the cost of the MIC to get the $700. I believe it is an error on the dual top price. It should be $2200. The cost of the MIC.

When trying to cross-reference these new details with info already posted on ford.com, I came across this nugget:

When you expand the Modular Hard Top Shadow Black-Painted, it says that the grille and rear view mirror caps are also painted Shadow Black. Are we to believe those are also included in the $1900 price?

I missed that. Price seems more in line now.
Thank you.

Guys just look at these prices then consider what it would cost to buy aftermarket then install. Then consider that all these parts are covered under factory warranty in which an aftermarket part and install would not be covered. Ford is bringing a product to market we all want. Pay for what you want or downgrade to something you can afford.

So they added 6 more fuel injectors in the new 2.7 to try to alleviate carbon buildup. You can get a full set of Ford Performance fuel injectors for the 2.7 for $215. The extra cost still doesn't add up just because they added port injection.
I'm talking 2.3 vs 3.3 vs 2.7.
2.3-> 3.3 $700
3.3 -> 2.7 $1200
I'm saying the 3.3 more expensive than the 2.3 for Ford to produce.

I feel like everyone’s perspectives is totally skewed. A base 4-door+V6+Sasquatch+hard top is going to MSRP around $45k. A similar wrangler rubicon with Diesel engine/ hard top is $51k. Yes you don’t get the armor/sway disconnect but you are getting a way better powertrain. I know which one I’m picking.
@Nickp i love ya and all, but comparing a base to a Rubicon is like comparing a Prius to a Mustang GT. Hell even if the only reasons are tinted VS non-tinted windows.

Just sent to Ford on Twitter:

Screenshot_20200825-154526_Twitter.jpg

Now let's hope they listen.
The problem with this thinking as well is different platforms mean different prices. A base mustang GT is about $9k more expensive than a base mustang ecoboost. And the only huge change is the engine. And in the F-150 the coyote is a $1k upgrade over the 2.7. So if we go off of the mustang and F-150 logic, the 2.7 should really be about $7k.

Obviously that’s nonsensical but comparing different power trains and differentplatforms is just that. If $1900 is breaking the bank the 2.3 is perfectly adequate and you can get a ton of tuning for the $1,000 you were willing to spend on the 2.7

I may have missed it, but where is the pricing reference for the engine up-grading?

It is a $995 variation into the f-150 to upgrade a 3.3 6 speed to a 2.7 10 speed.

According to the Preliminary Spec sheet, the Sasquatch wheels are 17x8.5 vs 17x8 for the Badlands. Also, that is for 5 wheels and tires, which works out to $500 per. Considering that 315/70/17's are going to run around $300 a pop, that leaves $200 per wheel for 17x8.5 beadlock capable wheels.
I also don't see how that leaves any room at all for much in the way of suspension add-ons to modify the Badlands suspension for the Sasquatch.

Thank you.
Just to clarify, that info (about the mirror caps and grille) came from the Ford website, I don't believe it was mentioned in the survey (though it may just be implied)
