I've been reading everyone's horror stories from dealerships for months now (shout out to Park's Ford, they treated me right...more or less) and all the references to Tesla's model. Wondering how many prefer the typical dealership model vs other direct from manufacturer.

I like the factory order. Not the wait. I got everything I needed and nothing I didn't. Would have liked to have a la cart options without having to change trim levels...

Wow, 2 for the dealership model. Wonder if that's dealers themselves.

It has nothing to do with the sales model, and everything to do with honest business practices. If greedy people want to take advantage they will.

Just one model for everyone and everything is added on? That would be interesting.

I voted dealership simply for the service side. I have a list of hopefully warranty issues to have addressed on my first oil change vist.

Jeep isn't far off this. Tons of trims, but also tons of a la carte to the point that differentiators aren't always existent.

Dealer is not in my town.
The local one I'll be using for service asked why I didn't take it where I bought it. Told him they're 5 hours away. He didn't seem pleased to be getting my future service visits. Lol

Not necessarily, Just don't see why you can't get tow or heated seats on a base model for example...

Yes, you dont get good service taking a product you purchased elsewhere to a store that sells the same item.

My dealership Arrangement is great. I just wish I could have got it from somebody other than Ford Motor Company.

I should have quantified to disregard service. I don't think of the Service Department as part of the dealer.

And I'm doing the same thing. Have a list going and it's got some petty shit on it.
