Production Chip Hold on 2023 orders?

My Raptor is stuck I only have High Package 12/7 blend and I know for fact another one made it through last week and has already shipped. The only other thing I have seen is a QC hold to fix something that didnt pass.

my sister had an OBX soft top w/lux that was built around Thanksgiving and she took it home yesterday. So not sure what's on "hold" vs what isn't.

This has been the norm for at least the last 6 months. In addition to my build week thread, I followed the week before and after. There was no pattern, rhyme, or reason for who went through and didn't. Basically, once a part goes missing in the build, it sits as a built on wheels unit while the allotment of chips keeps the current line moving. Usually, as the month end nears, there is a focus on completing and shipping units. Looking at it from the positive. You have a VIN, Window Sticker, and Blend date, and you are built with a hold. Whatever the part is, it will be added before it leaves. This is the opposite strategy that GM used, and I think does work out better in the long run.

The last eight weeks of the wait were by far the most excruciating. From Being picked to get a build week and it moving all over the place to blending, to chip holding, to no shipping status. It sucks, but it does end.

jehines3 hits the nail on the head with this statement. It's not first-in, first-out with the chips. Mine sat in chip hold nearly 4 weeks, while others blended a few days later are already sitting in their new owners' driveways and mine is still awaiting shipping.

Two identical Badlands SAS 2.7L Lux, both built around 4/10/22 and went to the Mountain. Chip hold?? Does it really matter, both were obviously missing some parts.

One was shipped on 6/2/22, the other was shipped around 7/2/22.

It is unpredictable. Didn’t check the mileage on the second delivery, but the first arrival had 66 miles on it. I don’t know how far the Mountain is from MAP, but obviously it got driven back and forth several times.

I had to call the Ford Marketing number. Chat can probably tell you as well.

I ordered the Badland 2.7 with Lux, blend 12/12. Ford chat says it built but on microchip hold.

Is there any correlation between chip holds and "packages" ...............such as the High Package versus the LUX Package. There doesn't seem to be any correlation between chip holds and "Model" - one Badlands get shipped, one gets Chip Hold.

There are some differences that which package requires which chips, so thats one of the reasons i was informed that mine is on chip hold because of the safety features and infotainment system microchip. I was hoping, my order was on micro ship hold than micro chip hold. Hahaha
