They're holding all the Broncos that need tops in the gravel pit across the street from the plant. That way, they will be able to give you a new paint job after the wind blows...

I just wish Ford would do something more for holding our Bronco's for an extended period of time until the end of the year. If I knew I wouldn't get my 2021 until November most likely. I would have rather waited until Spring for a 2022. And not already have a 6 month old vehicle by the time I get to drive it and for it to take a entire year hit on depreciation. It's basically buying a year old vehicle off the dealer lot for the same price you could buy a 2022.
Oh, I would expect 2022 pricing to be substantially higher than 2021. Material costs have skyrocketed; there isn’t near as much margin in the manufactured product for Ford as most folks like to think. Your 2021 will escalate in value, not depreciate.

Reading deeper into "What will Ford and your Dealer do" section...

The only thing appearing to be replaced are the panels and end cap glass. Does not appear the end caps will be replaced.

Anyone else read it that way?

This could be true on a small scale and for a short timeframe (while Broncos are still extremely supply-limited), but that certainly won’t last.

I concur, that letter doesn't tell the order holder much of anything that hasn't been known for a month.
This letter only went to people who have taken delivery. It’s not for order holders.

I would imagine they almost have to state the replacement is for purely cosmetic reasons.

To state it would affect the structure would probably require some additional safety testing or a recall.

No. It mentions a new end cap.

Correct... apparently my mind blanked out the second "new" in the "...install new rear quarter glass in the new end cap..." sentence.

Guess I thought the rear quarter glass would come already installed when shipped, thus not needing the dealer to install those.

Sorry for the confusion and misread.

I received the letter. I have two main questions:
1. Can I wait this out for a year or more, scratch up my original MIC (with stuff that I put on top of it, or those times I fling the front panels into the tumbleweed) and then swap it later, only when they have perfected the manufacturing technique after 75K builds?
2. On second thought... In 2061, will "2021 Bronco 2-door with OG MIC Roof" command a $15K premium?

TFL's top would like to have a word clunk or two about it being purely cosmetic.

Are there any updates on who the MOD top manufacturer will be? One can only hope it's not half as problematic.

I thought Mike only Tweet's? How does one's voice change on the internet?

I guess it's kind of like the old saying "If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"
Wait a sec, are you saying you don't listen to his podcasts?
