No, don't think so.I too would like to enjoy the comforts of Remote Start with my 7MT BL Mid (still waiting). But I can understand why Ford would be against providing Remote Start if the vehicle had a MT.
Does the Parking Brake automatically engage when the MT Bronco's engine is turned off? This introduces other inconvenient issues, but could be a smart safety feature. I once found my MT Ranger sitting in the neighbor's yard... evidently I neglected to engage parking brake the night before. Luckily only his grass was inconvenienced. It was a learning moment.![]()
I held out because I couldnt get a mansquatch. Was REALLY hoping for a v6 stick, but oh well.My Bronco has an automatic because Ford wouldn't let me order a manual transmission with a Base Sasquatch. My Mustang has a manual transmission.
Still, I can't see a circumstance where I would want to remotely start my vehicle. How hard is it to go out and start the thing? It takes what, 30 seconds?
Don't think and get the automatic? Nice try! I will never submit to an automatic!Don't think too much into it, or get the 10spd.
Yeah I understand how it works, my question was more of what’s the reservation with leaving the vehicle idling unattended. I was also referring to those without remote start can go start their vehicle manually, then lock it if their concern was theft. If theft is the concern, the vehicle can still be locked while idling regardless if you do or don’t have remote start. You have to lock Bronco before remote start will work
I personally wouldn't use remote start to cool a car in the summer heat either. I live in Michigan, and cold winter is when it comes in handy for defrosting your windows. You can always scrape the frost/snow/ice off your window by hand but its pretty common to still need warm dry air from your HVAC to clear the fog that forms when you start driving. While I am in the Manual camp, I do not understand remote start. The idea of leaving a running car alone does not sit well with me. Yeah the thing can be 150 degrees in the shade some days but I still don't want to be running around my house getting ready to leave with a running car idling outside. Sorry, you are on your own OP.
A running locked car with keys in the ignition , the person wanting to steal the car, glass windows aren't going to slow them down.Yeah I understand how it works, my question was more of what’s the reservation with leaving the vehicle idling unattended. Can't get mid package with manual transmission on Big Bend or Black Diamond, if you want the anything more than the standard package with a manual you have to move up to Badland.Huh?
You could start your car from your table at a restaurant while the bill is being paid so it will toasty warm for your wife who wore a dress on a winter day to look nice for you. You could start the car in the parking from your 3rd floor office while your shutting down your computer and wrapping everything up for the day. You could trick your 3 year old into thinking your new car is a sentient robot that started itself up by clicking the remote while its in your pocket.Still, I can't see a circumstance where I would want to remotely start my vehicle. Sometimes it best to look at people's locations, to understand why they have the views that they do. It was -23 below when I got off work two days ago, and -20 the day before that, -11 below tonight, -19/-23 Monday/Tuesday. A lot of people think it's cold if it drops below freezing. You could start your car from your table at a restaurant while the bill is being paid so it will toasty warm for your wife who wore a dress on a winter day to look nice for you. These are just a few of the remote start fantasies I have. I've never actually done any of these things because I'm not allowed to have both, a remote start AND a manual transmission...
I'm with you. I support the Manual cause, but remote start is not my hill to die on. Cooled seats! Now, that's the hill to die on.While I am in the Manual camp, I do not understand remote start.
