The Ford lights are way overpriced. If you're not a DIYer or don't have anyone to help you it's not a bad way to go.
Please do not buy the rock lights from Ford. They are highly overpriced even considering install.
FWIW they are only $11 more than MSRP and include install

Exactly. Rigid lights are expensive, and you can save money going with something cheaper, but Ford has priced them fairly.

I'm not overly familiar with compressors. What's the benefit of hard wiring a compressor vs just using gator clips to the battery?
Horns, constant power, no need to 'store' it, no need to get to the battery....

Gotcha. So where are they typically stored that has room for the unit and hose? Seems like under the hood might be a little tight.

My installs are usually done along the frame of the vehicle. Depending on what you plan to do with your Bronco, if you're a serious off-road rock crawler this may not be feasible, you should be able to find some space. Compressors themselves are small, the tanks depend on the size you go with. Hoses, you can stow them anywhere on the ride.

Typically I see them under the hood. ARB has a good compact unit. Many other people mount them under the seat, or in Jeeps I see them in the rear cubby in the floor sometimes too. You can really mount it wherever you want that works for you.

Technically, so long as you dont have them flashing, theyre fine in Jersey

Drove with Green and Yellow with no issues on the road so far, what color tonight. They're not completely flawless, and im still learning the minute functions, but love them

Read it carefully. It says directed towards the front/back, not down at the ground. Devils in the details. I use blue all the time for underglow on my scooter. Because the lights are affixed in a way that they face down and the light can only be seen from the ground it’s not illegal. Now if you put blue lights facing forwards or backwards that’s the problems but as long as the lights aren’t facing front and back and only to the ground that’s the grey area.

And if you use the Ford Pass points, Ford will be giving us? Adding the Rock lights would essentially be free? Such a deal! ?
